Review #95: Have to admit that I believe this cigar\'s success is also based on a good marketing. Got a box of them last week and smoked two letting \"the rest to rest\" in the humidor. The two I smoked were great cigars, very flavorful and good burn so if they are properly stored in the cigar shop, (and these were) they really do not need to rest for months in the humidor. Anyway, I still believe that the best cigars are Vegas Robaina Unicos, Hoyo DC and Diplomaticos #2 with its strange but excellent twist. But what I like most at the Cubans, (apart from the wrapper color which is unparalleled) is the firm draw quite opposite to cigars made in other countries for the American market. After all we smoke cigars and not steam locomotives Cristian, Resita, RO - Submitted by Cristian on June 3, 2005

Review #94: this is probably my favorite cigar. i have smoked hundreds of them over the last 15 years or so and they have converted me over to a montecristo man. i have tried about 7 other cuban brands but this is my favorite. it has it all, the size is fantastic, if you have the adequate time to smoke it. the flavor is full, strong, refined, with many complex tastes within it. my latest box, bought in april is adequately aged and perfectly contructed, giving great draw, smoke, burn and taste. i think montecristo quality must be the best now of anytime i have smoked them going back to the 80\'s. definately a strong full flavored cigar, if this appeals to you try them for the first time or become reaquainted. - Submitted by ss396 on June 1, 2005

Review #93: I\'ve had quite a few sticks from a box from GKI DEC03 and they are fabulous. Rich and creamy flavor with that classic Monte Chocolate undertone. Outstanding!! Have had a few mediocre sticks from 04, all in all though good experiences all around. I think these need some age to reach their full potential. Highly recommended - Submitted by XXX on May 28, 2005

Review #92: excellent to very average examples of this smoke in the marketplace. last one i smoked was very average in taste. good construction, good burn, nice wrapper, very plain taste, no complexities, no distinctive flavors, not much transition from begining flavor to middle to end. Good smoke, nothing special - Submitted by ricardo on May 16, 2005

Review #91: I have never been so frustrated with a cigar in my life, I purchased two boxes of the cigars and both were disapointing. Harsh flavors with little complexity and much variation from cigar to cigar. I agree that this is one of cuba\'s best, if you can find one that is made correctly with good tobacco. What box dates have other people found to be decent? - Submitted by UFSig on May 5, 2005
