The brand was created by Jose Rodriguez Fernandez in honour of the famous Spanish singer Maria Guerrero and the brand was always linked to Romeo y Julieta. When the brand was officially discontinued in 1985, the only model left was a new hand-made model introduced in the late 1970's decade, the Grandes de Espana.
