Montecristo Montecristo No. 4 Review:
The taste of numbers 1, 3 and 4 is quite the same, coffee, cocoa and vanilla flavours blended in great harmony with a medium tobacco taste. A minimum ageing of at least three years is recommended for this cigar to find its real potential.

Review #152: Not a blow you away smoke, but the Monte 4 always delivers for me when I reach for it. For those times I want the Montecristo flavor, but don't have the time for a larger smoke, these are great. Never had any construction issues with these, although I know because of the production others have. I like to carry this cigar with me to the golf course. - Submitted by fabio on November 1, 2007
Review #151: I love these cigars. I made a trip down to Cuba where I picked up a couple of boxes of #3s and #4s and they are unbelievable the #4s pack so much flavour for a small cigar definatley worth trying.Lucky for me I live in Canada so I can get Cubans in any store so I don't have to take a trip to Cuba to re stock just a walk to the corner store. - Submitted by jaypee on October 29, 2007
Review #150: I have nothing but good things to say about this cigar. I know there are mixed reviews out there but mine have all been good. Excelent construction, wonderful flavor, great burn. A good value as well. If I had to say anythig negative at all, it might be that one or two were a little to hot at the finish, but I will continue to smoke these as that are a safe bet for me. - Submitted by Peppy on October 17, 2007
Review #149: When these draw they are the bomb. Have run into a few plugged from 06 and 07. But Flavor is there already. I stick wuth the smaller formats , for trying to go for the #2s' is risky. Maybe 7 of 25 even have flavor ( MOnty 2 that is) Besides 2 boxes with some plugged ones, I have had good luck . - Submitted by habanohal on October 11, 2007
Review #148: To reviewer #146: maybe I'm just lucky, but in about 15 years I've always found this cigar consistent. I don't know if it's important, but for clarity I must say I never bought this cigar in boxes of 25, just the cardboard box of 3. That's because I have space problems and can't store lots of cigars (God bless tobacconists who open the boxes and sell singles...). It can also depend of the country: me and a friend recently smoked some R&J Cazadores made for the Cuban internal market and they were completely different from the ones sold here in Italy. I regularly buy cigars in Germany and the same cigar in Germany and Italy is actually different. I know it seems strange, but try that and you'll see. In the meantime, I cross my fingers and hope my luck with Monte4 will stay :-) - Submitted by sasha on October 10, 2007
