The taste of numbers 1, 3 and 4 is quite the same, coffee, cocoa and vanilla flavours blended in great harmony with a medium tobacco taste. A minimum ageing of at least three years is recommended for this cigar to find its real potential.

Review #71: Received a fresh shipment with code of BFI-ABR.05, nicely well made, clipped perfectly. Cigar lit well, but burned somewhat unevenly at first, then it fixed itself, and burned perfectly. Taste was beautiful, and suprised me it was so good after just coming off a shipment. As good as my Bolivar Marevas which have been in the Elie Bleu for a year. Expect with aging, these Monte's will surpass the Bolivar. Lasted about one hour, and the nicotine was just right while checking emails. Review #69: had a couple boxes (Jul 04 and Nov 04 production) of these suckers in the last couple months and i'm a little confused with my experience. some sticks are amazing: creamy, cinnamon, spicy with great draw and smoke volume, beautiful oily wrapper, perfect construction and ash. and then there's the bad ones. flat taste, poor draw, and even harsh. i'd love to be a fan of this cigar, but it's inconsistency is a little annoying. perhaps the balance of the boxes in the humidor for long nap will help. - Submitted by seadub on September 15, 2005
Review #68: Had one of these set aside for a few months after I bought it and had been looking forward to it greatly. Found a free aftrnoon and picked it out over some trusty smokes. I'm most disappointed. I realise one is not enough to go on, so I will doubtless try more some time in the future. Nice looking, and cut easily, but had a terrible draw. Managed to sort this out, however it also burnt unevenly. Perhaps would have been more suited to a night in the bar. Very spicy with pretty basic tobacco taste throughout, became a touch too spicy and rough in the last 1/3 and had to leave it. Being relatively new to the 'cigar thing' I thought this would be a good one to try, perhaps if I find some better ones after some more experience I will appreciate them. In the meantime I'll have a few more Bolivar Bonitas, which I have enjoyed greatly. - Submitted by core on August 26, 2005
