Montecristo Montecristo No. 4 Review:
The taste of numbers 1, 3 and 4 is quite the same, coffee, cocoa and vanilla flavours blended in great harmony with a medium tobacco taste. A minimum ageing of at least three years is recommended for this cigar to find its real potential.

Review #92: Always good construction and even, pleasing (if not overly abundant) flavor.
Formerly a change up or drive-home cigar for me.
Unfortunately, by the time I go through a box of these, I am totally bored by the taste.
Having said all of that, this cigar has been consistent (to a fault) over the years.
Although I like to recommend it to new or occasional smokers or for gift purposes, I no longer buy the #4 for myself.
Weirdly, by the time I smoke through a box, at the end, they somehow remind me of garlic. - Submitted by lbp on August 6, 2006
Review #91: I know I'll take heat for this, but this wasn't an enjoyable smoke. The first couple of inches started out good, and then it went to hell.It burned uneven and got hot quickly with no flavor.I gave up and chucked it.If I encounter some good #4's,I'll change my opinion. If only the rest of it was like the beginning. - Submitted by afuentelover on July 30, 2006
Review #90: Whoa, a difference Montecristo makes. When I got this cigar, the clerk had to open a brand new fresh box, unsure of the date. My first Montecristo....much stronger than other Cuban cigars I've had. Lit up very nice, the draw was nice and smooth. Nice taste of spices and chocolate. The smell of the smoke was delighful. Burned a bit unevenly, but last me a good hour 15 minutes. Very much recommended, worth the price. - Submitted by Crumbs on July 24, 2006
Review #89: This is the best Cuban cigar, and certainly the best of Montecristo's. Purchased a box dated Jun 2005 and they have been good to go right out of the box. I love their strength and body. Lots of wood and taste. I am half way through my box and have only encountered one stick that had a draw problem. Wouldn't matter. These are by far tops. - Submitted by Dr, Aloha on July 20, 2006
Review #88: Very fine cigar, typical Cuban taste/smell/draw. Burned a little unevenly, but was easily remedied. The guy that gave it to me had stored it in terrible conditions, but after a few months in the humidor, it was pretty close to perfect. I highly recommend it! - Submitted by mikis318 on July 14, 2006
