Montecristo Montecristo No. 4 Review:

The taste of numbers 1, 3 and 4 is quite the same, coffee, cocoa and vanilla flavours blended in great harmony with a medium tobacco taste. A minimum ageing of at least three years is recommended for this cigar to find its real potential.

Review #112: Terrible cigar - poor draw and inconsistent burn with little flavour to boot. I'm glad I only purchased one of these to try. - Submitted by rainman on January 14, 2007

Review #111: I bought one of these about 6 weeks ago and let it sit in my humidor until I decided to try it recently. Filled with anticipation, I was really looking forward to trying what was purportedly to be a fine cigar. Unfortunately I quickly determined that this was a disappointing experience. The draw was difficult and the burn inconsistent. I couldn't finish it because it also lacked flavour - overall a big thumbs down. - Submitted by rainman on January 13, 2007

Review #110: This cigar is made for the novice by the novice. It's true that only junior Torcedors have the priviledge of rolling these fine cigars. With age they do development some refinement, but never reach a level of the No.2 or A with the same age. The key to this cigar is smoking it slow enough to deter overheating the tobacco. Generally tributed to the small ring guage. If you make it last an hour you've done your job well enough to maximize it's flavor and quality. - Submitted by semery74 on January 12, 2007

Review #109: Agree with reviewer #108 but not in his dramatical style. I won't buy an other box of these... But still better than marlbaro i think. No problems on smoking as mentioned by #108. Agree taste have to live up to it's reputation, which it does not. All togehter allright to medium. - Submitted by Jeroen van der Pluijm on January 10, 2007

Review #108: A grave dissapointment. Lacks flavour - the draw was very difficult and overall was a huge let down considering its popularity. Perhaps its a case of mass market appeal - bums on seats supply demand but one which i wont be buying again. Infact my fathers La Paz had these things down pat - and a villager is like a cohiba next to this thing. Rather go for a Punch or Partagas, come to think of it a packet of marlbaro are more enjoyable... - Submitted by gpooke on January 8, 2007
