Montecristo Montecristo No. 4 Review:

The taste of numbers 1, 3 and 4 is quite the same, coffee, cocoa and vanilla flavours blended in great harmony with a medium tobacco taste. A minimum ageing of at least three years is recommended for this cigar to find its real potential.

Review #117: Great cigar. When I saw the beautiful oily sheen to it, I knew I would be in for a treat. The roll felt a little tight, but when lit up, it drew perfectly. Had to relight a few times but this did not diminish the flavor or the overall enjoyment of the smoke. - Submitted by ihupaliw on February 25, 2007

Review #116: poor cigar very bad draw good aroma but got to fustrated with the bad draw - Submitted by chriseskew24 on February 12, 2007

Review #115: This was my first Cuban cigar, so do not have a frame of reference to judge other than non-Cubans. Box date was ENE06. The construction was excellent and the burn was even and very slow. Couldn't believe the petit corona lasted about an hour. It was a slow starter flavor-wise and I was wondering what was the hype about Cuban cigars, but did become more flavorful after the first quarter or so, becoming more earthy and somewhat spicy and in the last third I noted peanuts (as opposed to a more general nutty flavor), which I haven't experienced with another cigar. Overall, I wasn't blown away by this cigar, but that may partially be since I don't normally smoke low ring sized cigars. Will let the box age some more before I try again. - Submitted by gregglantos on February 12, 2007

Review #114: Just have to say, the ones with the old MC band are infinitely better than the ones with the newer, more complicated and shiny band. The old band ones are at least three years old and, as I keep banging on on this subject, these just get better with age.... Remember: Young is generally yuck; older is yummy with a great draw.... - Submitted by XBO on January 25, 2007
