Montecristo Montecristo No. 2 Review:
This Montecristo cigar is something to deal with. Those who prefer this brand, find in this particular model all the virtues from the Cuban brand, and those who do not know it yet, find in this stick the power of the best selling brand in the whole world.

Review #57: A great 3-hours smoke. I Liked it, I nubbed it. Long live the king. - Submitted by Actionhost on November 29, 2004
Review #56: It should be noted that the strength and flavour of this cigar will vary according to how far up you cut it. To get the maximum out of it, cut it as close to the crown as you dare. This will create the widest possible aperture, which in turn will release the full complement of the No.2's awesome strength and rich, complex flavours (leather, coffee, and chocolate mousse superimposed on one another with spice scattered throughout). If a less aggressive smoking experience is desired, cut it further down in order to produce a more narrow aperture; this will reduce the volume of smoke in each puff, altering the cigar's character dramatically in the direction of a smooth, delicate, and mild-flavoured smoke. - Submitted by Kopeck Freiherr Von Balk on November 23, 2004
Review #55: Got my first box last week.Smoked one yesterday at the race track. My son asked me if I needed a roach clip. This one lives up to its reputation. - Submitted by tel on November 22, 2004
Review #54: Tried another out of my early '04 box, now with six months aging. Much better - a great cigar. Generously proportioned and full of flavour. I agree with Monte C - can only improve further with age! - Submitted by Barry McWilliams on November 16, 2004
Review #53: My first MC no.2 wasn't a hit. It was hot, with burning and drawing problems and serious changes in taste between the different parts of the cigar. But the second fulfilled all my expectations, although it was clearly too "green". Bold MC taste, loads of smoke, leathery and nutty undertones, a subtle salty aftertaste. The finish is, also, gorgeous (still taste it in my mouth, one hour after!). Keep the MCs no.2 for at least 6 months in your humidor, it will only improve their features. And try to avoid the 3-packs, their quality is considerably lower than the 25-boxes. However, the huge quality gap between cigars is, in this price range, unbearable. - Submitted by Razvan Voncu on November 16, 2004
