Review #48: Being a big fan of Cohiba & RASS, decided to try some other robustos. This smoke is much milder than those with more subtle flavors. Still very nice. Spongy feel also made for an easy draw. Surprised me with the amount of smoke it produced. It made for a great change of pace for me, but still no match to Cohiba. - Submitted by psmead on February 25, 2005
Review #47: Just got a box of ABR 04. Young but very good. Nice flavors and a great room note. Mild but great flavor and nice after lunch duration. - Submitted by luv2fly on February 7, 2005
Review #46: Its difficult to come up with anymore superlatives for this cigar than have already been used. So, so satisfying... The aroma is sensational. Sweet honeyed woodsmoke that should be used as incense in heaven. The taste builds slowly from ordinary to sublime. Never over-strong it has savoury flavours in the finish that defy description. A truly amazing smoke. - Submitted by Aromatic on February 5, 2005
Review #45: Greetings from the Cayman Islands! Yah Mon! for me this is a paradise when it comes to cuban cigars, what ever you heard, see at the internet they have it here. about epicure 2, Mon! let me tell you something, I smoked partagas serie 4 almost everyday of my life... you know why ALMOST everyday? because there is hoyo epicure 2, I craved for this at least twice a week. By just looking to this cigar the smell and that beatiful ring band... you know that you are about to smoke one of cuban best robustos. I love the spiciness and the complexity of this cigar it's just something about this cigar that making it so unique. Salud! - Submitted by pinoyman on January 29, 2005
Review #44: Finally getting some tamed down flavors from these o4 production runs, at first review very very overpowering tobacco flavors, almost too strong to enjoy. What a few weeks in the humidor does, they age and improve much better at a lower humidity rate than 70%, tried 2 different humidy setting first boxes at 70%, the second batch at 65%, the second batch is comming around faster and richer than the 70% batch.
Classic cuban quality, all the flavors are here, espresso, chocolate, vanilla, cinnamon, black cherry, and honey. Finally beginning to release the secret HOYO flavors and aromas.
I will bury the balance of the 10 cabinets deep into the bottom of my main humidor. will revisit in the summer time keeping the humidity at 65%, no higher
