Review #11: Absolutely delicious, rich and complex Havana with tons of creamy and tangy flavours of earth, ground coffee, toasted nuts, hints of vanilla and chocolate with the occasional vegetal tones. I have smoked probably about 30 of these from 4 different boxes, all superb EMS stock. To reviewer #8 and #9 I am sorry for your experience, are you sure they were genuine? If so you must have had very unlucky picks indeed and should mature them for a couple of years, but go and select some more with singles from your best merchant because all of mine have been outstandingly good with one or two having a slightly tougher draw but still delicious. - Submitted by MeGustaLosHabanos on July 23, 2005

Review #10: My first P2 was done with a few buddies at the Connossieur Divan Singapore. Dated Mar05, the wrapper was truly dark and lightly oiled. Prelight: excellent construction and nice color although the wrapper was not as smooth as i would like it to be. Scent not too much unlike any of the D series. The P2 burnt perfect, and the dark greyish ash only dropped once after 3.5 inches. Smoke was rich and thick starting off with a coffee base taste and hitting chocolatey in the middle. with and earthy leathery feel to the palate. it reminded me of a D2 EL. towards the end, the spiciness kicked in and some bitterness was experienced right at the end. overall a top class regular production vitola, i will rate. in fact, those guys could put an EL band on it and the smoke would still be up to mark. the consistency was great but perhaps a little more complexity in taste will even be better. 2 thumbs up nonetheless! - Submitted by Duncan on July 23, 2005

Review #9: I\'ve gone through a few now and, regrettably, I am entirely with the previous reviewer. A pleasant smoke nonetheless but was really hoping for more and for the asking price, it should deliver more. At this level \"pleasant\" should be deemed as having negative connotations. - Submitted by Prometheus Bound on July 21, 2005

Review #8: i have been looking forward to smoking one of these from the time that i had read of their impending release. with much regret, my experience was markedly different to that of many other reviewers. the draw was extremely mediocre despite the apparently sound construction of the cigar. the early stages of the cigar could best be described as both raspy and extremely dull. i had hoped that it would improve, especially during the last third but sadly this was not to be. i smoked the cigar with a friend who has also been smoking cubans for over ten years and his experience was the same as mine. thus, i can\'t say that my cigar was a one-off dud. too young? without question and thus i will revisit in six months - jay k - Submitted by jaykamel on July 13, 2005

Review #7: One has to start by saying that this is a new, young cigar, so all reviews have to be quite subjective, since nobody has tried it with its full aroma developed. In my opinion, the minimum time this cigar needs to mature is 6 months from the date of construction and i believe it will develop its full potential in around 2 years time. The 2 sticks I tried were from a box produced in April 2005. The construction is, as expected, flawless, with even distribution of the tobacco leaves. No plugged spots. The wrapper, dark chocolate brown without green spots or sun spots. Needed quite an effort to manage and light it evenly, but after that, the draw was easy, the smoke was fullfilling and the burn even. The tastes start soft, mild, and give rise to a very steady and smooth crescendo, until the typical Partagas macho taste greets you from the second third onwards, followed by very nice leather. An excellent smoke, satisfying the smoker, lasting around 90 minutes. My only reservation is the price tag, 12 Euros per stick in Greece. My advice, is to get a few of those, smoke one and let the rest at the side of your humidor and forget them for 2 years. Let them age... - Submitted by Dimitris in Athens - Greece on July 9, 2005
