Review #106: The P2 has become a household name despite the fact that it has only been in the market for a couple of years. If you are looking for no surprises and an excellent performance, this Monte2 thrasher will certainly not disappoint. always a good draw, clean burn and an exquisite make for a cuban. Clear notes of dark choc and coffee, sometimes if you are lucky, honey roasted too. this is not a bigger Serie D4. It is in a class of its own. however, my experience with younger boxes versus the original production has not been flattering. Flavors seem to have lightened in the newer boxes and it is not a matter of aging or condition. Overall still a top choice - Submitted by Duncan on July 31, 2008

Review #105: JUL 07 excellent smoke..recieved a box from a friend and enjoyed my first of that box from jul 06 tonight with a glass of gold label..this smoke will be replacing the monte no.2 as my choice in the pyramid shape..strong, spicy, flavorful smoke which is beautifully made and burns evenly...An overall near perfect cigar with no draw problems what so every..i wish would have been smoking this one all along - Submitted by sause2112 on June 25, 2008

- Submitted by nacho on June 15, 2008

Review #103: JUL 07 Brian7272 I think that you have a valid point about Cubans being somewhat overrated as compared to the new incarnations of Dominicans, Nicarauguans, and Hondurans. I do not think that this applies to the Cuban Piramides as of late. I smoked one of these from a box I grabbed from LCDH in Windsor. It was very rich and leathery. Not quite as spicy as its cousin the Diplo 2 that is my normal smoke but it held is own. The pre-light was accompanied by that rich smell of moint earth and freshly tanned leather. The light gave a strong indication that this was going to be a full heady smoke but sadly, that died down after a couple of minutes. It did open up into that leathery, earthy taste that I mentioned above. I think with a year or two, the hints of wood and cedar will probably manifest better. I will definitely be purchasing more of these. - Submitted by elric2002 on May 22, 2008

Review #102: OCT 04 It has taken me 15 years smoking only Cuban cigars to realise that most are over prized and over rated...Everyone seems to scared to admit it but there are some very very good non cubans out there for half the price. We cigar smokers can be a tad pretentious sometimes. - Submitted by Brian7272 on May 21, 2008
