Review #56: To respond to reviewer #54, that may just be due to a different crop of wrapper tobacco. I've noticed slight variance among other cigars, notably some HDM Epicure No. 2s, some of which were closer to a claro shade, and some more towards colorado. Check to see if the ash is properly dark, and if the flavors are the same as the singles you got, and also the telltale markings on the box. As to my thoughts on the cigar, it's a hell of a smoke. I'm nearly through a box of 10 myself, and I've found them to be flawlessly constructed and absolutely delicious. Typical Partagas flavors of leather and pepper and earth, and well balanced. They're a little rough out of the box, but with just a month or two to mellow out, they're already a great smoke. Great aging potential in these. - Submitted by Gran Corona on January 15, 2007

Review #55: To reviewer 54 - wrapper shades vary on all Havana cigars between different production batches; you can get Partagás D4 or Cohiba Robustos with both light colorado and very dark maduro wrappers from different boxes, yet both may still be excellent smokes, it's mostly cosmetic, the wrapper leaf actually gives little, if anything, to the overall flavour of a cigar. More important is the overall construction of the cigar, the band and the scent the cigars give off unlit. Partagás cigars have a very recognisable spicy, earthy smell which should be strong when you open the box. If you bought them from a respectable merchant and they have the proper labels and markings on the box etc they are probably genuine. The only true way to tell is to smoke one however, you will recognise a real Partagás Havana from it's flavour with no problems. You should be able to recognise a proper Havana cigar merchant from one which could be dodgy, you should look into that - hope they are ok. Anyway, a top class cigar which deserves to be matured for a number of years, I won't put a figure on it as peak maturity is different for everyone depending on taste preference of course. Happy smoking :-) - Submitted by A. Dyer on January 15, 2007

Review #54: I just bought myself a box of 10 and i am now pondering over if what i bought was a fake, the first few singles i bought looked like the one in the picture to the right. The ones from the box however looked a lot darker similar to the cohiba piramides EL 2006. Can anyone tell me if i have just bought a fake or is it due to a change of wrappers? Both single and box pieces cost the same a piece. - Submitted by snowdawgz on January 15, 2007

Review #53: Just had my First one tonight and i must say i agree with all the previous reviews, creaminess, spice and hints of nutty almonds. I found the draw slightly tight but still a great cigar, smooth elegant all throughtout. Still have 5 more but definitely getting another box. Personally i find it much smoother and the taste more refreshing than in a monty 2. Great Cigar everyone should definitely try this piramides at least once. Merry Christmas and Happy Smoking. - Submitted by snowdawgz on December 22, 2006

Review #52: This is an outstanding cigar, creamy smoke and leather and nutty flavours, maybe the best piramide in the market. - Submitted by peac25 on December 18, 2006
