Trinidad Fundadores Review:
We find only this Trinidad brand model. With a perfect draw and combustion, those cigars considered between medium and strong have to look at this stick as it has become an exponent of its strength. As the format is thin, the smoker will be able to find more concentrated honey, espresso or vanilla flavours among some others.

Review #51: Box date AUG 2005. Tried this last week. Had very light coffee flavors with a smooth aftertaste that got a bit harsh at the last 1/3. Only went out once. I personally found it a bit too mild and almost flavorless. Save your money. Buy either a Trinidad Coloniales or a Robusto Extra, a much better smoke IMHO. - Submitted by cigar are good on April 4, 2008
Review #50: this was my 12oclock cigar at new years eve. Have 4 boxes of limited editions but still this one smiled at me and i'm glad I smiled back. Perfect creme vanilla cocoa flavors, great draw and perfect combustion. Not evident when your standing outside on a windy market square in Bruges. Went well with the havana club 7 anejo. score of 10. If I can detect an old box with the band you see on the right (the new ones have, I dont know all of them, the bands similar to the other sizes now in the brand), preferably a 50 cab, I will not doubt. I'm visiting madrid in may, they only cost 12 euro a piece there. Here in Belgium there almost 20 euro. Cigar prices in Belgium have taken an enormous jump over the years, and not in my favor. Damn Government. Luckily for trinidad and myself, I love spain, and all the four sizes will be in my luggage when I come back. - Submitted by Yapi on January 5, 2008
Review #49: I have great respect for this cigar, for long time the only representative of Trinidad brand. Maybe this is not my favorite vitola but definitely one of the most consistent cigars. It is true that (too) many have drawing problems but when they are on then you can expect the best what Cuba is offering. This one was from box CLE AGO 02, looking so elegant and fragile. All traditional Trinidads flavors were here: cocoa, coffee and caramel. Draw in the first half was a bit difficult but later became easier and all flavors emerged together with delicate spicy and woody notes leading to long finish. - Submitted by Diademo on November 22, 2007
Review #48: Oh yes! The beloved Fundadore just always seems to please. I've smoked them as old as ten years and as fresh as one year, and they just never let me down. Complex, balanced, & smooth they are always a treat. Squarely mid-bodied and full flavored without ever becomming overpowering. Cream, nutmeg, vinella, and honey are but a few of the flavors that consistantly come across on the palate when smoking this wonderful little puro. Always constructed well, even in '99 & '00 when construction was an issue for most vitolas coming out of Cuba.
