Review #49: I have great respect for this cigar, for long time the only representative of Trinidad brand. Maybe this is not my favorite vitola but definitely one of the most consistent cigars. It is true that (too) many have drawing problems but when they are on then you can expect the best what Cuba is offering. This one was from box CLE AGO 02, looking so elegant and fragile. All traditional Trinidads flavors were here: cocoa, coffee and caramel. Draw in the first half was a bit difficult but later became easier and all flavors emerged together with delicate spicy and woody notes leading to long finish. - Submitted by Diademo on November 22, 2007

Review #48: Oh yes! The beloved Fundadore just always seems to please. I've smoked them as old as ten years and as fresh as one year, and they just never let me down. Complex, balanced, & smooth they are always a treat. Squarely mid-bodied and full flavored without ever becomming overpowering. Cream, nutmeg, vinella, and honey are but a few of the flavors that consistantly come across on the palate when smoking this wonderful little puro. Always constructed well, even in '99 & '00 when construction was an issue for most vitolas coming out of Cuba. Always a sure thing in terms of enjoyment, and a great choice for a go-to cigar! - Submitted by knuck42 on November 21, 2007

Review #47: The 1998 version of the Trinidad Fundadores, was amazing. Exactly as described above, very well balanced medium bodied smoke, with flavors of vanilla/nuts/honey/cocoa ... a truely refined smoke. Smoke this cigar for the depth in flavors. If you are just looking for a taste bud burning spice bomb ... this is not it. - Submitted by fabio on November 1, 2007

Review #46: wow! This is one cigar where everything was perfect. To begin with the draw and burn were excellent. The aroma is beautiful, it doesn't even smell like smoke but like some type of incense. The flavours were as smooth as you can get, vanilla and expresso were the main ones here. If I am correct it is only trinidads and cohibas that have a triple fermentation process, other than the limited editions. I think this is one of the reasons I enjoyed this cigar so much, it reminds me of a cohiba robusto. The price of these trinidads though just like the cohibas are not cheap, each stick here in western Canada is over $40.00. - Submitted by Gillette on August 10, 2007

Review #45: Amazing cigar, Got a five pack in a sampler at the begining of the year, I don't have the box codes. I tried one in March and I wasn't that impress given it's reputation so thought I would wait until the summer to try again. This had wonderful draw, flawless burn although the ash wasn't too firm, (needed ashing at 1 inch through out) and it was quite flakey. Flavor was of cream, stewed fruits, black cherry (first time I've tasted that) and a hint of anise a couple of times. The full smoke and smoothness of this cigar really made me a believer. I also love the size and will probably try another in the near future just to confirm this wasn't a fluke. If the next is just as good I'll be adding these to the shopping list "Damn The Price!" - Submitted by randallp on August 6, 2007
