Review #30: Chocolate and chili mixed as only the best chefs can do. Power and body are at the top. Great Corona Gorda. - Submitted by spawn on May 16, 2007

Review #29: I had another of these beauties (from batch abr 01) last night with an Imperial XO Cognac. I could tell from the deep shiny madura wrapper that I was going to be in for a treat and this cigar didn't disappoint. One hour of pure subtle-complex exquisiteness followed. From the beginning to the end this was delightful, building to a crescendo of flavour that easily match any Cohiba I've ever smoked. If you're looking for a huge bang then this is not a cigar for you.........this is suavety exemplified and requires a fairly experienced palate to really appreciate. I have to give my thanks that I live near Spain and have really easy access to these gems. A treat !!!! - Submitted by bone_jure on May 7, 2007

Review #28: When I first smoked one of these I was looking for all of the upfront flavours and strength that a young cigar offers with undertones of complexity that I'd expect from a top notch Havana. I was slightly disappointed. It took me until the 3rd cigar from this batch (feb 01) to understand and appreciate this fine cigar. I hadn't noticed the code on the box when I bought it at the end of 2006, having selected them by the beautiful dark wrappers. I had erroneously been expecting big and bolder in the flavours and I obviously missed all of the subtle textures and nuances in this wonderful cigar. I find they marry perfectly with a great XO Cognac..........or any really complex and smooth scotch. The really peaty Islay Malts tend to dominate this refined cigar, which deserves it's place amongst the best cigars. I savour every one of them and rate them as highly as my favourite Trinidads and Cohibas. - Submitted by bone_jure on May 6, 2007

Review #27: Smoked a Sept. 06' example recently and found these to be fuller in rich tobacco ,coffee and leather flavors than the JL#2 .While the #2 has a predominate woody overtone and tends to be more medium . A very nice example of a fullish CC that is very enjoyable and could age into something special . - Submitted by wahoo33 on May 5, 2007

Review #26: To be honest, this cigar has grown on me. After receiving my box in the mail last week, I was a little disappointed with the first two that I had after reading many wonderful reviews, but like I said, they have grown on me, and I find my self continuing to reach for them in my humidor (I've had about 5 now). There is a real 'richness' to this medium bodied smoke, with the steady presence of leather, cedar, and a touch of spice throughout. I'll compare it to a good cup of coffee (a French roast) with heavy cream... I definitely do recommend them. - Submitted by leader on April 27, 2007
