Review #22: I had already tries the selecion No 2 Robusto, but it's the first time I have found the No 1. The first one was rather disappointing, by means that it was so tightly rolled that I could hardly smoke it. Afther spending a couple of weeks in my humidor though, the following sticks were a pleasant surprise... I already bought 3 more cabinets that I intend to age a little more. - Submitted by cgkrdc on December 5, 2006

Review #21: I was quite reluctant to make a second review for this cigar, I dont want them to become well known :-) But it is our obligation to inform the fellow aficionados of the gems we discover so here it goes. This Corona Gorda, does not taste as the No 2 (the BEST robusto from Cuba), but has a profile of its own. It has the typical Juan Lopez herbal tastes and there are hints of caramel, roasted nuts, amber and bits of fine leather towards the end. It's a very mellow cigar, with perfect burn, wonderful construction and flawless wrappers. All this under the umbrella of traces of black pepper. Its a very good cigar, try them out with 3 years of age (the 2003 has been an amazing year for the Juan Lopezs) - Submitted by Dimitris in Athens - Greece on September 6, 2006

Review #20: I've been smoking the JL #2 which has become my favorite Robusto and saw the #1's on sale so I gave them a try. Box date Aug '05. What an excellent cigar. It's smokeable right now and a pleasure it is. Full bodied and very complex, every one of the 15 I smoked had a perfect burn. - Submitted by John Smith - NJ on September 3, 2006

Review #19: Pleasantly surprised! - Submitted by Nivel Acuso on June 24, 2006

Review #18: I ordered up 3 boxís of these cigars last year. All of them were from 2003 and I have smoked at least 40 of them thus far. I find the construction of these cigars to be consistent. The prelit aroma is excellent and reminds me of the aromaís of more expensive cigars. I have found that the draw on these cigars is usually difficult at best, I use a small drill bit to open the foot a bit, about an inch or so into the cigar, this usually suffices and allows more volumes of smoke to pass thru. I find them to be smooth, creamy and they have a little hint of vanilla when passed thru my sinusís. Though I like these cigars and I am glad I bought them I find that the Punch Royal selection No 11 or the Punch Punch to be a better smoke, easier draw at the same price with all the flavors and more so for the same price. - Submitted by mhanscom on June 11, 2006
