Review #55: A real cigar to get your taste buds guessing where you are going to go next. This superb cigar takes you around the globe from Morrocco, Cuba, the wet woody forests of Germany ending up in the spicy souks of Egypt. Wow what a cigar! This cigar went through a period of being below its normal calibre over the last few years and its reputation suffered a bit but I hope that it is now back for good as one of the best Havanas available. Really good for a Sunday afternoon after a really sumptious roast chicken and a few glasses of red wine. - Submitted by cjarman on January 14, 2007

Review #54: I just smoked a Hoyo DC on the weekend and this is a spectacular cigar. The first few inches are rich, mellow and oh so creamy. The flavour builds slowly to a spicy peak at the last 2 inches. Truly a classic. This is the best DC on the market in my humble opinion. I will be picking up some more on my next trip to Havana. - Submitted by purofino on January 8, 2007

Review #53: I too pullled out my last Hoyo DC that I have kept in m humidor since '95. It was a cabinet selection I bought in the period when Hoyo was the undisputed king of DC. It was a wonderful smoke that started off quite light for the first inch or so but built up all the way to the fingers. It was difficult to let go at the end. - Submitted by worjor on January 2, 2007

Review #52: Pulled out the last Hoyo DC from my humidor on Saturday to smoke at a relative's wedding reception. I am embarrased to admit that I had bought the box a few months ago for ageing...but what the hell, we only live once. The light brown color (at least to my eyes and when compared to the dark Partagas Lusitanias I had an hour after smoking this one) of the wrapper gave hints of the smooth and creamy tastes of the cigar. I have to say that when it comes to keeping a straight ash this cigar is a winner. Beautiful white colored ash remarkably displayed the perfect soil conditions and superb construction of a great Habano. Started off very creamy and smooth and halfway through started giving off spicier notes. I have to admit that if I were to choose between the Hoyo DC and Partagas Lusitanias I would go with the latter. But this is a great cigar indeed. Deserves a 10/10. - Submitted by PDL on November 27, 2006

Review #51: An excellent double corona by Hoyo. A perfect balance between power and finesse that is harder to achive with cigars these days. The draw was perfect although I did encounter some irregular burn. Nontheless, a great cigar - Submitted by jrieder on November 3, 2006
