Hoyo de Monterrey Doble Coronas Review:
One of the best prominentes ever made, as many of the formats from Hoyo de Monterrey, strong, with convincing aroma and taste and greasy. New Habanos can be said to have learnt from this stick, spongier than Lusitanas and Doble Coronas from Punch, it looks even bigger when you have one of them in your hand.

Review #70: I smoked one of these with ten years of age on it from C.GARS Ltd and they were great. I tasted some nutiness and apricot as they were going down, plus we were celebrating the arrival of my daughter. She is beautiful and so were the aged HDM DC's. In fact I just bought a cabinet to age over the winter and spring. Just right for smoking in summer of 08. - Submitted by Rich Golodner on October 4, 2007
Review #69: had one yesterday from a 1997 cab. am not usually a hoyo fan, but this was very good. nice flavour right from the first puff, gradually built up in strength and intensity. mid way, it kind of went a little flat and lost the complexity i was expecting (maybe the age mellowed it too much?), but a great smoke nonetheless. not sure if it warrants the premium price i paid? recommended to try. - Submitted by Gobind on August 13, 2007
Review #68: Its a well constructed double corona with mild body. Its creamy taste makes it a perfect desert after a light meal. The combination of the balanced burn and smooth smoke is another enjoying visual effect. However, leave the last quarter of the stick as it becomes too spicy. - Submitted by qcboyyy on August 12, 2007
Review #67: I enjoyed this DC much more than the Saint Luis Rey. It was near perfection. I really have nothing bad to say. The aromas and flavours do more for me with the Hoyo than the SLR. That's not to take anything away from other DC's, I just really enjoyed this DC. It took two hours to smoke. Very enjoyable. Cigar was from box dated '05. Beautiful band too. ...would love to add a box of these to my collection soon. - Submitted by cookj1 on August 10, 2007
