Review #110: One of best cigars ever smoked (tied with Upmann Sir Winston). Smoking for years. Smooth, toasty, and creamy. Last for over 1 hour. Even burn, easy draw with lots of smoke. - Submitted by binky on July 13, 2011

Review #109: --- 07 This Doble Corona is quite light cigar like rest of the Hoyo de Monterrey family. Very well made. Small veins and consistent structure. First third offers soft touch of coffee and nuts. I also notice a distant nuance of cherry. On second third, cigar gains some character but continues relatively light. Shades of wood and herbs join the spectrum. Final third adds tannin twist. Overall, a good cigar, not a master piece, but decent stick. - Submitted by Finn on July 10, 2011

Review #108: I am not a big fan of double coronas. I am a fan, thought, of Hoyo de Monterrey. Epicure 1 and Epicure 2 are some of the best medium bodied cigars Cuba has to offer and the Petit Robusto is the absolute best in that specific category. The DC is a disappointment in the first half with no real flavor and no strong points. In the second half the cigar changes all together and develops character and aroma, while the burn is even all the way through. Is the DC worth the wait for the rewarding second half? Well, that depends on where you smoke it, with what you smoke it with - I recommend coffee or white wine for this one - and the time you have to enjoy. This is not a "star" cigar, it is just something to hold on to as you do something else (golf, poker etc) and that is a pity because the Hoyo DC used to be on of the benchmarks of Cuban cigars. - Submitted by RomanAbbey on May 19, 2011

Review #107: MAY   Never been a fan of Hoyo, but this became one of my favourites very quickly. While the Hoyos I tried so far were too mild for my taste, this one is just perfect: generally mild, but holds as much strength as needed to release its flavours. 2 hours of pleasure. Agree with Lukeluke, after getting stronger in the middle (I wouldn't say harsh - but definitely stronger, this was fresh stick), the finish was surprisingly gentle. - Submitted by attila11 on August 8, 2010
