Review #136: These cigars are certainly very good, but not quite up to the hype. I agree with Ian (review #133) that quite often you can get very variable results (there is a lack of consistency there), but that the consistency has improved over the past couple of years (unfortunately I have not had the pleasure to enjoy these in the 80's and early 90's). However, I do not think these cigars are worth the money (but my scoring does not take this into consideration). - Submitted by nikolasb on October 18, 2007
Review #135: Wonderful cigar. Just what you want in a robusto. A nice variation in flavors, starting mild and gains strength along. Very tasty, going just as well with a port as it does with brandy or cognac. Good stuff. - Submitted by noodist on October 13, 2007
Review #134: This is really the ruler of Robusto, an all-round puro! Perfect construction, charming aroma, creamy flavor, full and balanced body all make you keep it for youself. Strongly suggest to cut it with a guillotine (not a punch) to get the full enjoyment. - Submitted by qcboyyy on October 5, 2007
Review #133: I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND THE WAY YOU GUYS GENERALLY RATE CIGARS.- MAYBE ITS COZ NOT MANY OF THE REVIEWERS HAVE BEEN SMOKING HAVANAS EVERYDAY FOR OVER 20 YEARS. WELL I HAVE AND IF YOU LOOK AT MY REVIEWS YOU WILL GET SOME DECENT INFO. FOR EXAMPLE OVER 20 YEARS I HAVE SMOKED APPROX 20 BOXES OF CR'S FROM ALL DIFFERENT SOURCES AND COUNTRIES. SOMETIMES GREAT SOMETIMES DISSAPPOINTING, AND OCCAISIONALLY EVEN CRAP. RECEIVED A BOX 2 WEEKS AGO MY SECOND SO FAR THIS YEAR - BOX WAS OCT 06 SMOKED 15 SO FAR - 2 OR 3 HAVE BEEN PRETTY GOOD BUT NOT GREAT AND THE REST VARIABLE. I HAVE SMOKED SOME OVER THE YEARS THAT ARE VERY GOOD AND DESERVE THE REPUTATION - THESE ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. ALTHOUGH CONSTRUCTION IS GENERALLY BETTER THE LAST FEW YEARS THE FLAVOURS ARE NOTHING LIKE AS GOOD AS THE CIGARS I USED TO SMOKE IN THE 80'S AND 90'S. THERE ARE HINTS THAT THEY ARE THE SAME BRAND AND VITOLA BUT THATS ALL JUST HINTS. ITS SUCH A HIT AND MISS DEAL THESE DAYS THAT I FIND I HAVE NO BRAND LOYALTY AND JUST KEEP GETTING DIFFERENT ONES HOPING FOR THE BEST. MY LAST FEW PURCHASES HAVE BEEN ERDMCS, UM46, BBSLB, CR, ETC - MOST OK BUT NOTHING EXCEPTIONAL. - Submitted by ian on October 3, 2007
Review #132: smoked a June 06 example and it was good as a cigar this young could be. Perfect construction and smoked it to the nub with typical cohiba flavors. - Submitted by butane on October 1, 2007
