Review #80: Overpriced and overrated. I would prefer a Partagas D4 or the Bolivar Royal Corona anytime. - Submitted by jn-888 on September 23, 2006

Review #79: This is easily my favorite Cohiba cigar. It was the first Cuban I've ever smoked & was the reason I fell in love with this expensive habit in the first place. The consistency of quality is always there...I have never come across one that was contructed poorly. Sure, it may be pricey but I honestly hsven't had a Robusto that has this kind of flavor (though Partagas Series D #4 comes pretty close). Everytime I'm disappointed with a Cohiba, all I have to do is smoke one of these & my faith in them is restored. It's a shame all of their cigars don't have this consitent quality! - Submitted by mladenovic on September 19, 2006

Review #78: To reviewer #76, I live in the US and have smoked nearly all the premium non cuban brands, theres nothing that compares to a good Cuban. Not even the Paddy 1924's or the Opus. Specially a well presented Cohiba Robusto. Yes, you can make the argument that they are overpriced, for roughly half the cost you can enjoy a Bolivar RC which I feel gives an explosion of cream and with hints of nuts and leather with better consistency than the Cohiba Robusto. On the other hand, a solid Cohiba with demonstrate a smooth, creamy, and strong leathery taste on the palate with nose spice that will only leave a slight smurk on your face during your exhibition, no matter how many you've smoked. As for your neighbor's wife, you got any pics you can post? - Submitted by mprach on September 16, 2006

Review #77: A good cigar, but not quite worth the price when compared with the Ramon Allones of the same size, in my opinion. The classic cohiba flavours were all there, which was very enjoyable, but I'm not sure that this cigar is quite able to command the premium that it does. All in all, I can't say that I regret this purchase, but I probably won't be buying this particular Cohiba in the future, if only because of the price. Note: Yes, my example was aged. It had one of the classic bands, with black writing, instead of the shiny gold COHIBA inscription. It tasted good enough that I'm sure it isn't fake, however, so make of that what you will. - Submitted by agraupe on August 13, 2006

Review #76: I recently had this cigar in ST Martin, it was good but didn’t burn even. It was truly beautiful in appearance and pre-light odor! It was rather non-descript to begin with but developed a great flavor and balance. As far as being over-rated….it is……just as all Cuban cigars are over-rated! Think about it? The difference between cigars grown in Honduras, the Dominican, or Cuba is miniscule at best…….these countries all have virtually the same climate and soil base. I have a humidor which is perfectly maintained and holds about 30 boxes. If you know where to buy cigars in the US you can buy outstanding cigars under $100 per box. The Cubans in my humidor cost $200 - $400 per box and are not even the best cigars in the humidor. It’s kind of like the neighbor’s wife in that she is off limits…..she always looks better till you’ve had her! - Submitted by Stone on August 12, 2006
