Cohiba Robustos Review:

This Cohiba vitola has made Robustos one of the most desired Habanos in the market. This one is a real piece of jewellery not to be confused with a simple thick cigar, one of the problems when it comes to define Robustos. There are only nine authentic Robustos and this one is the most complex, because of its strength and excellent joint.

Review #177: Bought 1 box; then another 2 after tasting the first cigar out of the first box - without the benefit of Humidor! But then it had been tied by a yellow robbon in a small cabinet - not box pressed! Dark oily wrapper that tastes salty before lighting and has a nice rounded smell. On lighting the smoke is generous and easy and tasty like a good wine - some of the smoke has a wine flavour, with pepper and wood coming through.Well rounded flavours all mixing very nicely / almost indecernibly until the main flavour is the wonderful round/full/smooth taste of tobacco! Nice with a glass of red wine first class reds only- having started on Dutch cigars I normally prefer a beer or Coffee. The cigar burns nice and evenly with solid light grey ash and "switches off" about 2cm before the end - or so it was with the first box. Hopefully the next is as good. Not my favourite Cuban - but close - Submitted by Patrick5 on June 10, 2009

- Submitted by indytheo on June 3, 2009

Review #175: What a beautiful smoke with a complex flavor profile ranging from spice, to espresso coffee characteristics, to earthiness..i am not a huge fan of all Cohiba cigars but this one along with the Siglo IV, VI are gems....one of the best robustos available if money is no issue when purchasing this smoke - Submitted by sause2112 on May 29, 2009

Review #174: MAR 08 After some months in my humi i could not resist trying one. Sat myself down with a black coffe and lit it up. It felt good in the hand, well made, and a easy draw. Mild and fresh. To young yet. No outstanding flavors. Actually nothing stod out. Nothing hapend. Flat, boring smoke until the last inch. Then some spiciness added. But it wasent worth the time. Very disappointing. Had to correct the burn twice. I have had a lot of better, young, cigars than this. Think that age can help some but.... - Submitted by poppe on May 22, 2009

Review #173: I had one yesterday and it was all good and enjoyable. The spiciness, rich bean flavors and medium honey sweetness are the main impressions. For those who loved the spicy chili feeling running in your mouth or breath like a dragon thru ya nose. Then this cigar will best recommended. I found that this cigar has strong spice than others cigars I had tried so far, it was like putting a whole "Wasabi" in your mouth and your eyes react like your cutting an union.Unfortunately, I was afraid to buy a box, not that I don't want to. Cohiba always has a good reputation, the only limitation is the tight role and tight DRAW! and it may come in few stick in a BOX that I think is a waste of money. I would prefer to get single if I want to smoke'em. Overall,I had a great experienced with this fine cigar. - Submitted by jimmy81 on April 13, 2009
