Review #15: I have smoked one of the older versions of this cigar and i have to say i was blown away by it's smoothness, the aroma is first class (even non cigar smokers liked it)As such it remains my all time favorite. Watch out for newer ones there absolute rubbish! - Submitted by Tomo on November 20, 2004

Review #14: While the D2 is great the 2004 Partagas D1 delivers the kaleidoscope of intense flavors the D2 does but in even higher doses. I have to reserve the last point for the D1. - Submitted by tang on November 6, 2004

Review #13: Box code OSU DEC 02 have produced probally the best of all the limitadas to date. The slightly squared shape is a sure sign of proper aging, the aromas given off when opening the box, i refer to this as the limitada smell. This is like a well aged series d no 4 with twice the size and twice the power. this is the only cigar that my wife approves of aroma wise, she said it really grabs you in and hold on for quite a while. Be sure to get the ones with the raised imprinted gold lettering on the limitada band, i had some without the raised lettering on the limitada band and they were not the same cigars. The wrappers were even a different color when placed side by side. Review #12: I have come to the following conclusion after smoking several new/old of this cigar. Reading other users posts confirmed this tradgedy- It is very hard for me to score this cigar as a 4 but that is what it has become. The first ones to come along were a near perfect ten, unbelieveable, i wish i had bought all the boxes i saw. Who knew they would change - Now for the bad news... The ones out and about on the marked now are absolute crap in comparison to the initial launch, and i'm not exagerating. I have compared the pre/post versions in a friends humidor and the wrapper difference is quite considerable, much darker and differently scented on the initial launch. I also noticed that the change in quality of these coincides with a change in the Edicion Limitada label. The newer (poor) version of this cigar's EL label is NOT ROLL PRESSED (raised relief design). This is an easy distinction to make when placing them side by side. I have seen the new ones throughout the US and from suppliers that originally got me the good ones. I'm afraid there are few and far between of the good ones of these. If you should run across some with the roll pressed EL labels SNAP THEM UP. I guarantee an unprecedented experience. - Submitted by Chris Olsen on June 21, 2004

Review #11: Smoked another stick from a box relased during the launch of this Limited Edicion gem. The additional time sitting in my cigar locker has transformed this smoke into a finger burner. Upon opening the box the bouquet is rich. Flavors are powerful, balanced and rich. So rich it reminds one of "Old School" Partagas flavors. One of my favorite. Get them now while they're still around as they will age wonderfully. All Limited Edicion cigars from Partags have been outstanding! - Submitted by Rogndd on March 28, 2004
