Review #240: SEP 08 TEB SEP 08: I've had this cigar last year and the first 2 thirds were good. Last third was so bitter that i had to put it down. Smoked it again yesterday and wow. Aging will help this cigar tremendously. cedar, touch of spice, milk coffee and milk chocolate. Wow. I'm happy i still got a few of these left. Draw was a bit tight but the taste was so awesome that i didn't care. Nubbed it! - Submitted by agentdaffy007 on September 11, 2010

Review #239: ---   I used to smoke this stick quite often in the past, it's like a 'must' for any newbie smoker. So, for old times sake, I bought three Montecristo no. 4 in three different occasions recently and I was just disappointed: almost no construction at all and too tight to be enjoyable. did Montecristo choose the way of quantity over quality? I had the same impression by smoking any other cigar of the line, frankly. - Submitted by darkcount on August 5, 2010

Review #238: JUN 08 This vitola started my interest in cigar smoking and also drove me away from the Montecristo brand for the most part. I recall that these cigars in my minds eye used to be perfect in all aspects however my experience lately sets a different mind set. When you have a well made #4 it can be a delightful experience. A beautiful medium body and excellent appearance accompanied by a well balanced tobacco - creamy vanilla all presented in a fine wrapper. I'm a die hard and I keep trying them to this day but out of every box I find that the construction has diminished in quality "considerably". There are numerous plugged, over filled and tight, under filled head ends etc. One can suck their cheeks through their opposite ear or burn your lips off in these instances, I have frequently found this to be true. In fact most of the number 4s of late fit this category. Quality control seems to have been degraded of late, either that or I'm extremely unlucky. It's sad to see such a fine cigar being neglected in this manner. - Submitted by LtCdrRMD on June 27, 2010

Review #237: JUN 08 UTA jun 08 Maybe one of the best montecristo ever in the last 15 years.Monte2 style, realy amazing, unbelievable N°4 I had smoke tons of Monte4.Montecristo quality rising?I'm just luky? - Submitted by meneer on June 17, 2010

Review #236: ---   My casual cigar... I was never disappointed by the no 4., which I find particularly well balanced from beginning to end. A medium-full bodied cigar, it is surprisingly complex with dominance of spice, cacao, coffee and dry fruits. Really enjoyable with a quality full-bodied wine from California, Australia, or even France Madiran's region. An unbeatable price/quality product, especially when bought in Cuba (Approx. $120/25) and a serious smoke! - Submitted by Coolzen1 on May 22, 2010
