Review #18: I had a box with 01 and smoked 1 at once. Bitter taste, uneven-burn. Then I aged it for two more mths and the strength came out. Aroma is perfect, well-constructed of ash and burn more even than previous. But I would recommend to keep these stick a little bit dry unless you want to re-lit once again and again. I will give 4 stars and hoped it can get 5 after aging few mths more. - Submitted by ericryan on June 26, 2008

Review #17: Just smoked one from a 1999 box and it was awsome! from the first draw you start picking up woodiness followed by a sweet and creamy flavor with a dash of spice. The second half is pure enjoyment the sweet creamy cinnamon a leather taste takes over and as you come to the finish the hint of spiceness comes back in a "bravo" type fashion. Its a must try, The 07 crop has been great across the board and I have a box of 07's and that are great as well. - Submitted by Cuban Clouds on April 10, 2008

Review #16: I bought aged cigars from a shop in Ireland that specialises in rare aged Habanos. The shop owner recomened me a list of aged Habanos and one of the aged Habanos was this cigar it self. At this point its safe to say that, I smoked most Habanos in the market but never aged until recently . This Monte Cristo was from "98" and, WOW ! . One heck of a cigar from "98" a little rough in the beginig, but smooth and a vanilla hint to it in the middle and leathery finish . I will admit I was sad when this vintage cigar was out what a expierence. - Submitted by cmyparadise4u on March 29, 2008

Review #15: A beautiful, fairly mild cigar that has a great deal of complexity and a perfect burn and draw (although I have heard they can be very tightly rolled at times). Very slow burning with consistent undertones of coffee and chocolate throughout most of the cigar. Runner up to the Partagas Serie du connaisseur in my opinion (there were some very light vegetal flavors present but barely noticeable), but I prefer stronger cigars. Really requires 90 minutes of slow, pensive smoking to fully appreciate. - Submitted by Goldenberg on March 25, 2008

Review #14: I have smoked only one of this cigar from unknown date (probably less than 1 year). Simply perfect! Wonderful colorado wrapper, slightly oily, pre-lit smell was something that can only be found in great habanos. I had no problems with the draw and burn whatsoever, and the cigar was extremely flavourful from the start to finish, growing steadily from mild to medium-full. Very complex smoke, highly recommended. A must. I just pray that the vogue of ever-increasing ring gauges will not mean that these will be put out of production in the near future. - Submitted by titobueno76 on March 3, 2008
