Review #42: ---   Bought a box of these last week and have smoked few since then. This is one of the biggest surprises that I've ever had in my years smoking cigars. I can't find a date on the box anywhere (covered by a sticker maybe). The make looks stellar and they've all been a perfect burn and draw to this point. The sugary floral aroma is unmistakable if you remove yourself from the smoking area for a couple of minutes and then re-enter. Actually took me by surprise. It has a deep earthiness with light floral notes, and complex creamy cedar that is unmistakeably Cuban. I simply can't not smoke these down to lip burning zone and those last puffs produce a taste of delicious sweetened roasted nuts. I would call this one medium strength but as it's a panatela it manages to come off milder. A bit of age would even off the less complex notes I'd imagine--but they're already so diminished to begin with. Cost to quality ratio is only touched by some aged Por Larranaga Panatelas I had about 13 years ago. I have to rate this an 8, although my heart wants to say closer to 9 but based on the price point my pride can't bring me to do it! After all, how can such a cheap cigar really be that good! ;) - Submitted by menschie on October 29, 2010

Review #41: APR 08 This one of the best boxes of cigars that $50 can buy. Plenty of roasted nuts and coffee, and chocolate flavors. Nice even slow burn throughout. What a way to burn an hour.. I think that you should give them a try... - Submitted by IMARK on September 1, 2010

Review #40: OCT 08 This is an excellent mild cigar, with a distinct floral flavour and enticing aroma. Their only drawback is inconsistency. Sometimes excellent in burn, other times almost impossible to smoke due to tight draw. However, in recent years this has improved considerable. An excellent cigar for late afternoon, or when time is of the essence, it has one of the best quality to value ratio I can remember. Mostly bought in Spain, mine were handmade. - Submitted by +EP+ on August 27, 2010

Review #39: DEC 08 Great Cigar! I have an '08 box; had two from the box-thus far. It has an exception draw. Straight and very smooth tobacco taste, emphasis on smooth. This a medium-mild smoke. This Panetelas Extra is a keeper. Great choice for the time-crunched and short-on-cash person. They remind me of the cigars Clint Eastwood smoked in his spaghetti westerns. I will buy another box. - Submitted by HUC on June 26, 2010
