Review #11: I managed to locate some of these in Madrid. This elegant cigar is extremely mild - it gives out just enough flavour so that you can tell that it is cuban. It tastes green and grassy - I could detect little else. It smoked far better than the similar La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No. 1 - giving far more smoke - but less flavour. This format and mild tobacco is clearly aimed at the novice, mild cigar lover or as an after-breakfast smoke. - Submitted by CastroGTX on August 13, 2007
Review #10: This cigar is great! I just received a full box with a '00 date code. Very smooth and NEVER once had to re-light it. I agree with REVIEW #8 - I was lucky to find a box in Spain, - Submitted by DBCcigar on December 26, 2006
Review #9: I have tried a 6-year old box of these. Starts out smooth and mild with a soft toasted tobacco taste and a distinctive sweet herbaceous note. Smoked slowly, the grassiness blends perfectly with the light earthy and sugary flavour, reminding one slightly of Cohiba, but far more rustic. The toasted tobacco increases greatly in intensity towards the end, as does the herbaceous sweetness. Mild to medium bodied, these elegant lanceros are great for a leisurely afternoon. An extremely underrated cigar, but only for selected palates. - Submitted by The Privateer on October 4, 2005
Review #8: I found about a 1/4 box of these for sale as singles in the cigar store in the Habana Libre hotel in Havana while I was living studying in Cuba for a month. I smoked one every other day and I found these to be wonderful examples of the Laguito No. 1. They have a very nice balance to them and there\'s a unique grassy and spicy mix to them that I can\'t get enough of. Sadly, these are hard to find but the search is worth it! - Submitted by chris12381 on June 9, 2005
Review #7: Just came back from Cuba and I spent all two weeks searching for Vegueros and there are none to be found. What a pitty!! I tasted them 7 years ago and I loved them specially with a 7 years glass of rum ..... - Submitted by Nippur on January 10, 2005
