Review #88: FEB 08 quite delicious and fantastic aroma. like the well balanced combination of Montecristo no:2 and the Partagas serie no:2 - Submitted by hus0008 on May 14, 2010

Review #87: MAY 06 My second attempt at this brand in my favourite long smoke format after a somewhat dismal performance from the Clasicos. Wonderful construction, weighty with a toothy but finely veined colorado claro wrapper. Starts off promising with noticeable spice and medium body with rich flavours of vanilla bean, cedar, milk chocolate and caramel sweetness in the background, not unlike a Montecristo No. 2. The aromatic smoke posesses a smooth texture. Very flavoursome with a long aftertaste of Chinese 'Pu Er' tea and cedar. Increasingly woody and dry after the halfway mark and the lovely flavours described previously gets replaced with clean tobacco, wood, espresso, some earthiness, and a hint of nutmeg. The smoke is still smooth and floral. From here on end, it is pretty much the same with a brief burst of caramel sweetness come the final third, then leathery notes the rest of the way. Persistent tea like notes in the lengthy aftertaste throughout. This cigar posesses the most perfect draw with a touch uneven burn at the start which progressively corrects itself. A medium strength and mildly spicy cigar. On the whole, it is an elegant and balanced cigar. However it was not particularly exciting. I can imagine a Saint Luis Rey having the same qualities with more 'wow' factor. For its price, I will rather go for a Partagas P Serie No. 2 or a Montecristo No. 2. I guess this marque is just not my cup of tea, so to speak, or maybe I am just a Partagas/Montecristo junkie. Points for near flawless construction and not too bad flavours. - Submitted by sengjc on April 5, 2010

Review #86: JAN   Medium strength & body, smooth & deliious sweet flavor with cocoa background. Surprisingly ready for such a young cigar. Impressive! ENE (January) 09 - Submitted by Bassman on February 20, 2010

Review #85: SEP 07 An interesting cigar to say the least. Not as complex as I was expecting from the reviews and the guy I spoke to at the store. For a piramide it was probably a medium rather tahn strong body, smooth grassy flavours with hints of spice - there is a kind of flavour to vegas robaina cigars that I cant quite put my finger on. I thought it was a creamy butteriness but this one lacked that. I prefered the famosos but the unicos has more depth to its flavour profile. Again flawless construction and burn. I cant get enough of this brand really. - Submitted by fuzzylogic on February 14, 2010

Review #84: NOV 08 WOW! What a cigar! Mild, smooth and the draw was perfect. Pair it up with a robust cabernet and your in heaven. A well constructed cigar with an ash. - Submitted by jeff4960 on November 11, 2009
