- Submitted by JVO on June 20, 2011

Review #25: IM PROBABLY THE MOST EXPERIENCED CIGAR SMOKER ON THIS WEBSITE- So here is my review. Well what can I say about this cigar? Very enjoyable but at the same time very straight forward tobacco taste. A very one dimensional cigar. A perfect beginners cigar........ - Submitted by muzza on May 19, 2011

Review #24: --- 99 My second stab at this particular stick and I can say that some time in the humidor has actually improved it, though already good to begin with. Similar to the No. 2, this presumably is from the 1999 vintage. Well constructed with a dark and smooth wrapper, the cigar is quite a thing of beauty, Very elegant looking. Starts of light bodied with sweet smelling and floral tasting smoke which graduates to a more medium bodied with toasty and earthy notes with clean tobacco and cedar constantly at the background. Quite complex with brief interludes of black coffee, sweet toasty caramel, nutmeg, hay and leather throughout. Subtle flavours, mildly strong with low spice levels but it is the texture of the smoke which is most notable. Begins perfumy and silky then becomes rich and creamy finally become thick and velvety, no harshness at all. Brilliant to the last inch. An evolutionary smoke from a post-revolutionary marque. Earlier today while in a discussion with a local cigar merchant, I stated that Cuban tobacco is the best in the world. He begged to differ. Not that non-Cubans are bad, but having finished this, I cannot help but think: "Mr. Castro, I may not agree with your methods, but by God, you are one lucky fellow!" - Submitted by sengjc on April 10, 2010

Review #23: --- 01 I bought a box a few months ago - nice cedar box of 25 with good quality clip - much like Partagas use with some of theirs. Had one straight away and found it tight with burning issues. After a few months in the humidor I tried one again. The draw was much better; even if still tighter than what I like; but the burning issues were gone. The taste was more apparent now - grassy like a cazadores. Just thinner and longer and not as much smoke to envelope me. It looked an impressive cigar and lasted about 1.5 hours; but without a taste variation. The strength improved as the cigar burned; which we would expect; but for a cigar this long, I was disappointed that there was no taste change - just grass. For the money; I would have preferred a Churchill or a DC. But as something different; I was happy for a try as they were beautifully made and it felt great with nice wrapper. The proportions make them look very sexy and art deco ish - a good one for the bar if it is not the cigar one is concentrating on! - Submitted by Patrick5 on August 7, 2009

Para ver fotos visitar http://elpurohabano.blogspot.com/ - Submitted by rafa on June 6, 2009
