Καπνίζω μερικά με κάτι παραπάνω από δυο χρόνια ωρίμανσης και η πρώτη εντύπωση είναι ότι ακόμα «βαστάνε». Το πούρο δεν έχει στρογγυλέψει τελείως, έχει κάποιες μυτερές γωνίες που ξύνουν ελαφρά τον ουρανίσκο, ωστόσο η επίγευση είναι βελούδινη και γλυκιά. Μετά τα δύο πρώτα εκατοστά όμως μαλακώνει και «κάθεται» δίνοντας όμορφες -μεσαίας δύναμης- γεύσεις καφέ και δέρματος, με μια ελαφρά καπνισμένη ξυλώδη υφή. Το διαφορετικό που κομίζει το famoso, (ορισμένοι το προσδιορίζουν στην οξύτητα που έχει το κεράσι), είναι αυτό που εγώ αντιλαμβάνομαι σαν κάτι από το ξύσμα φλούδας λεμονιού, λίγο όξινο αλλά ωραία δεμένο με τα υπόλοιπα, που είναι τελικά και το motto του. Ζωντανό και πλούσιο πούρο, όχι τόσο διακριτικό, αλλά άκρως ικανοποιητικό. Το τελευταίο 3ο είναι απογειωτικό, αληθινό γλέντι, πραγματικός αφρός που θυμίζει τη διπλή κορώνα της brand. SEP 06 Now that the clock has sprung forward I thought I would like to try this cigar because it's the only formate I haven't tried from Mr. Robaina and I have the time for an after dinner smoke. I was a little disappointed because the wrappers were lighter than I expected and the blast of ammonia was unbelievably strong. I can't remember ever getting such an ammonia smell from a box of cigars. Of course I couldn't wait and tried one and boy did my lips tingle. I waited a few days to let the ammonia blow off and tried another. It had the same flavors, light carmel, honey, and roasted nuts without the tingle but burned very quickly. Today I took some reviewers advise and started with this cigar. I noticed the 10 I pulled out of the box had darkened nicely and checked to make sure that the cigar was solid not soft. What a difference, more like I was expecting. Much richer flavor and a little to strong for a morning cigar for me. MAR 08 I had 3 favorite robusto cigars and after smoking a robaina famosos in the morning I now have 4 but only one morning cigar which is this one. In the morning with a coffee simply compliments this stogie. I have smoked them later in the day and just not as rewarding as the morning. I get a smooth floral bouquet with earthy tones of rum which is sweet on the palette and strong enough for the first fix of the day. - Submitted by galva on December 14, 2008

Cette vitole me plaît énormément. J'eus le privilège d'en fumer environ une dizaine, d'années différentes, et la qualité qui me vient spontanément en tête pour décrire ce petit bijou est ÉQUILIBRÉ. Un cigare des ligues majeures, distinct et complexe. Sa puissance est parfaitement moyenne: les épices ne vous rongent pas la langue mais sont bien présentes. Un excellent petit goût de "revenez-y" combinant - très -subtilement la noisette, le chocolat et le cèdre ravit vos papilles sans les solliciter indûment. Tout est là, mais en magnifique douceur. Le volado, le seco et le ligero sont de toute évidence de qualité suprême et combinés de main de maître. En ce qui me concerne, je n'ai éprouvé aucun problème de combustion. La construction de la chose est franchement supérieure. La tête semble être doublement fermée: si on ne la coupe pas suffisamment, on remarque une deuxième "capote" sous la première. C'est un cigare que l'on peut fumer tranquillement, qui ne s'éteindra pas trop vite si vous êtes absorbés dans la lecture d'un bon livre. D-é-l-i-c-i-e-u-x. Si le Don Alejandro est une version plus longue de ce cigare-dessert, il doit être sublime! 9.5/10. - Submitted by Franz-Eric on October 21, 2008
