Review #15: A very good cigar which was well made and great flavour. The construction was great and it burned well. The smoke was full with a good build up to the finish. Not quite as good as the Partagas Series D No. 4, but a nice cigar. Cheers, - Submitted by Bejamquinn on March 9, 2005

Review #14: I just smoked a couple of them and had high expactations: alas I noticed an almost complete lack of body, both were very week. Something like light dominican cigars. I have been told that VR Famoso changed a lot from the initial release. Anyway I will not buy them anymore. My Benchmarks Partagas N.4 and Ramon Allonez specially selected. - Submitted by Alex on March 8, 2005

Review #13: ...Bought 2 boxes about 2.5 years ago. Much too young when first acquired. Unfortunately I found these cigars, even now with age,to be syrupy sweet – sickeningly so - literally… These Famosos along with the harsh and characterless Punch Punch I have been experiencing for the past 12-14 months are the only Cuban cigars that totally disappoint me. Hints of leather/chocolate that never deliver underneath the above mentioned overpowering sugar. Construction is very good - almost perfect excepting roughness on the wrapper. - Submitted by Lee on February 12, 2005

Review #12: This stick did have an odd pre-light sweetness. It's one of those cigars whose smoke tastes like its wrapper on the tongue. I got several flavors: malt + caramel, citrus juice, earth + coffee, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and a dash of cinnamon. These melded into the creaminess KingDong mentions, with a mouth-coating quality. The flavors shifted in prominence during the smoke, but a strong earthy mineral vibe emerged toward the nub. Maybe due to relative youth. So yeah, I agree: "This is a decent cigar period!" Box date ABR03. - Submitted by rkm on September 16, 2004

Review #11: Bit of an ugly cigar, with large veiny leaves. However it smokes well with deep complex flavours and tons of creamy smoke. Wonderful format and would suit at least a year in the humiodr to take some of the ever so faint bitterness from it. Good smoke, and not badly priced. - Submitted by KingDong on September 14, 2004
