Review #20: A really satisfying smoke, rich, creamy and flavourful. Dominating cocoa and peaty flavours with nice undertones of leather and some floral. The odd notes of cinamon on and off with a nice spice and tangyness. A slight complexity, and they improve very well with age. I prefer the San Luis Rey regios as a Hermoso 4 myself so half a mark off for not being the best H4 IMO, and also a half off as it tends to get acidic a little early. Lovely cigar however. - Submitted by A. Dyer on July 3, 2005

Review #19: This hermoso #4 vitola is from 1997. It is a true puro, from the Robaina plantation. Scrumptious and decadent. Flavors of herbs and milk chocolate prevail, as it turns spicy and earthy with undertones of dark chocolate. NICE! A fresh and fruity bouquet of smoke. - Submitted by planetbetter on July 3, 2005

Review #18: Well, I just smoked the first Famosos from my box of \'97\'s. What a beautifully constructed cigar, especially given the fact that it was made in 1997. Oils coated the wrapper, which had aged to the color of burnished teak. Absolutely perfect burn and draw, and I had to knock the ash off because it grew too long for comfort. The Famosos was deceptively smooth at the start. The spice was there, but the dominant quality was one of a creamy, maple and caramel flavor. Despite being medium bodied, it was unbelievably smoooooth! Past the halfway point, I became aware that I was getting into the \"zone\", in part because of the concealed strength and power in this cigar. I sure got more than my minimum daily requirement of nicotine, and had some buzz. In the final third, the lip-tingling spice that I associate with VR began to come through. I couldn\'t help but nub it, because the flavors and spiciness were so irresistible. At the end, it was transformed into a powerful spice bomb. - Submitted by shrink on May 17, 2005

Review #17: Straight up good cuban leaf. not very complex, but really good and enjoyable. i love the earthy taste and aroma. for the price, you just can\'t beat it. smoked this one a bit fresh and \'wet\', yet it was good. i can only imagine how much better it would be the next time around. - Submitted by chrisboy on May 9, 2005

Review #16: The cigar was well constructed, the wrapper was exceptional, the draw was flawless and offered ample amounts of smoke. However, the taste was defenitely not comples, rather blunt. Simple flavours of earth, cocoa, coffee, the last third was stronger, but defenitely not as strong as I like. I would defenitely prefer the other cigars available at this size... - Submitted by dgourlis on March 20, 2005
