The first time I had an El Morro I was in Cuba on a trip with my friend that was essentially all about procuring cigars. We tried about 15 different ones while we were there and this was my favorite. It was the creamiest cigar I have ever smoked in my life. It is a long smoke too as it took a night of wandering about the Resort to finish. If, like me, you dont mind savouring a big cigar and your palette favours a creamy but bold smoke, then this is definetely one to try. I was torn between bringing a box of these to go along with my box of Cohiba Siglo II's but I opted for a box of Hoyo's instead. This was a decision I have regretted since, because, I have yet to smoke another cigar that gave me the experience that this one did. Luckily my father just returned from Cuba last week with a box of El Morro's as a present for me. I'll have to make them last! - Submitted by TheRedMenace on March 28, 2007

what a great cigar! It is so complex with lots of flavors. I normally smoke piramides and toros, but this time while reading a book by the riverbank, I decided on this size and this gem lasted for a good 2 hours. It has an excellent burn, a good draw, and it never goes off even when you forget to take a puff after a few minutes. This is a Very Good smoke! The first 2/3 is quite close to my favorite: the sainted Lucitanias. The last 1/3 delivers all the flavor and strength. When you want a power just beyond the Lucy, this is the one. Every one in my box was made and draws perfectly. Try it: you will discover an interesting quality cigar. Ibought this bos from 2004 2 years ago and I remember they were good. It has been sitting in my humidor ever since. never really had time to smoke this or my luisitania because of my work schedule. I normally smoke toros or coronas. Today while reading a book by the river front I smoked one of my el morro. What a great cigar they have turned into after 2 years. They started medium bodied with some spice in the first third and then became more creamy and more full bodied i the the second third. In the last third of the cigar more earthly notes with some spice and a little sweetnes while becoming more full bodied. it was one of those finger burners. Excellent draw, great flavor and I am about to buy another box just to age it and enjoy them later. I smoked one last night, in the Cigars Club, and it was awesome. I liked it from the very beginning: intense brown color and an oily wrapper made the receipe of a tasteful smoke, generrally. It tasted as good as it looked: very complex, a little sweet & salty, flavors of caramel, cinnamon, spices, rich smoke. All in all, one of the most reliable big cigars on the market.
