FEB 07 Just over a year old (MGT FEB 07), definitely too young but I needed to check my stash to see what to expect in future from Corona Gordas. Colorado wrapper was slightly veiny, without any exiting smell but with excellent draw. Cold draw revealed distinguished sweet taste with hints of wood. First puffs offered perfect balance of aromatic, soft smoke in the light to medium body. All typical flavors were present: milk coffee, fruits with spices, leather… Ash was a bit flaky with occasionally uneven burn but cigar produced amounts of thick, rich smoke. This is one of the nicest younger cigars in my humidor; ready to be smoked immediately but needs additional year or two to become a real star. It’s completely different from Punch Punch, with much more flavor and complexity. I paired it with nice (but not really great) white Cotes du Rhone (Domaine de L’Olivier). Next time I will try slightly barrique white wine or maybe Guayabita del Pinar liquor. - Submitted by Diademo on July 2, 2008

NOV 00 Επανέρχομαι ενθουσιασμένος και απίστευτα εντυπωσιασμένος (έχω πάθει πλάκα), από αυτά τα πούρα του 2000. Είναι κάτι το τέλειο, ένα μυστήριο, ένα θαύμα! Πρέπει να συνωμότησαν πολλές δυνάμεις για να γίνει αυτό, κρυφές και φανερές. Θα 'θελα να μην τα καπνίσω αλλά να τα φυλάξω για πάντα, μα είμαι θνητός...Αυτό που θα κάνω είναι να τα καίω σε εξαιρετικές στιγμές έτσι, σαν σπονδή σ' ένα κόσμο που κρύβει ακόμα εκπλήξεις και μυστικά, που εξακολουθεί να μας πληγώνει με την ομορφιά και την ποίηση ταπεινών άψυχων πραγμάτων. Δόξα σ' όλους τους Κουμπάνους. Γι αυτό το μικρό υπέροχο πργματάκι, αυτή τη λυγερή σκούρα σιλουέτα που σκάει μύτη με μια παλέτα από κρυμένες γεύσεις που εμφανίζονται απροειδοποίητα, χωρίς να τις περιμένεις. Κι αυτό μωρό μου σε κρατάει στην τσίτα για τήν επόμενη εναλλαγή. Σα να'χει το φιλί της ίδιας γυναίκας, 1000+1 διαφορετικές γεύσεις. I just smoked my first one yesterday. It was from a box dated OCT 01. After I finished, I went back to the cigar shop and bought the rest of the box. When this cigar is 7 years old, it is FANTASTIC. Many different flavors. It keeps the palate busysorting them out and enjoying them.I carefully inspected the remaining 23 cigars in this box. The construction of each is perfect.
