Review #13: Enjoyed one last night with a couple of beers, not bad at all. - Submitted by stjohnroe on February 26, 2007

Review #12: I sampled several of these from a small cabinet of twenty five. These are packed unbanded and tied with a ribbon into a small wheel. The wrappers appear top notch with nicely finished caps. A pinch and a wiff showed the roll to be firm and the tobacco to be rich. Lighting was uneventful but the draw on the dozen or so I've sampled from this box ranged from just tight enough to be annoying to just short of plugged. This did not work itelf out as the smoke progressed. The problem could not be corrected by massaging and I have resorted to storing them dry (62%-65%) and starting each smoke with a few quick pokes from either side with a toothpick in order to salvage the box. The flavor profile is medium to light. I could taste light coffee (columbian), cedar, and pepper. The taste on most of them was negatively affected by the poor draw. The smell of the burning tabacco indicated that they would have been delightful if only I could have gotten more smoke into my mouth. The ones that drew adequately after poking were exquisite and complex when smoked slowly to compensate for the hotter burn of dryer than useual storage. In closing, the blend and quality of the leaves used to make these are obviously first rate. My rating reflects the issues with my particular examples and all things being equal, I look forward to sampling a few of these from a better box. - Submitted by greg258 on January 31, 2007

Review #10: One of the most flavorful yet smooth and creamy cigars. Just discovered them some weeks ago in a local cigar shop humidor. It's a real sunday afternoon treat, together with an Armagnac - Submitted by Cristian on March 21, 2006

Review #9: I just found a box of these from '98, like review #6, from March of that year, and Villa Clara III factory, and I'll tell you one thing, they really are good cigars. I usually smoke, in PC's, Bolivar PC's or Partagas SHorts, but these had plenty of taste for me. Medium in boby, they still have a nice bite to them, and they are s-o-o-o-o smooth! Huge creamy draws were in every puff, and the floral notes in the beginning stay with the cigar, but have the excellant addition of a nice amount of spiciness as well, and it's an extremely nice combination of flavors that hold their own against many of this cigars' cousins that get more press and more reviews than these. I would recommend these to any cigar lover that doesn't have to have the strongest cigar in the world every smoke. I think it would be hard not to like these, though, and that cute little "mini-cabinet" they come in...very cool! e-mail me at dlctwice@mac.com if you want to know where to get these older boxes - Submitted by dlctwice on January 27, 2006
