Por Larranaga Lolas en Cedro Review:

The name comes because this cigar is wrapped in cedar sheets (Cedro in Spanish means cedar). They have a mild aroma, and this mild aroma increases as long as the cigar is smoked accompanied with some kind of spicy flavour.

Review #5: It has sadly been discontinued in 2002 and remaining stocks have been cleared out already. I have only tried some 2001 production ones. They kind of are "bumpy" machine mades, but very appealing to those who like Por Larranagas. It is by far the most woodsy PL I have tried so far, even woodier than the Montecarlos. They have the delicate PL- caramel sweetness which is balanced by the oaky, cedary and almost resinous aromas. Not sure, but the cedar sheet might impart some of that character. It is indeed quite strong, comparable to latest release Petit Coronas or even a tad bit stronger. Some boxes have been lost due to molds growing under the cedar if not properly stored... - Submitted by Hercule Poirot on May 29, 2008

Review #4: The only pleasure I got of this one was buyin it and hoping it will be good. The draw was inexistent, as good as drawing from a chop stick. Not even half way through, the cigar exploded and the wrapper was gone. Before even cutting it, the cap looked like it was done by a 3 year old torcedor. Such a shame that the nice presentation of this cigar doesn't allow you to really inspect it before buying a single. I'm really disappointed, especially after reading the nice reviews. Knowing that it can be that bad, I'm not ready to give it another chance. - Submitted by Trabuc on April 28, 2004

Review #3: Very elegant cigar. Your friends will not be dissapointed if you offer them such a cigar, with its wonderful plastic packaging. But, do not smoke with empty stomach! - Submitted by Gilberto B. on April 17, 2004

Review #2: A deep and floral smoke. Excellent construction for a MM. Must buy more. - Submitted by Poupon on April 17, 2004
