Review #18: Those cigars are very good for everyday smoking for a fair price for those who are smart enough not to pay an extra fare for hand made cigars. A pity it only appears in medium draw. - Submitted by David Nakab on February 17, 2005

Review #17: I found a gem in the world of cheap cigars - spotted several packs with maduro wrappers. This completely changed the character of the cigars, stark contrast to the harsh colorado I tried the day before. It was, quite naturally, largely undifferentiated in its earthy tastes and smoothed greatly with maduro flavors. The burn was fast, as this cigar is not tightly packed, but even throughout the cigar. I would have given it a 7.5 rating (if the site allowed) but took points off for the rough hewn wrapper appearance - gnarled and veiny. In this shade, it is highly recommended for cigar beardies. - Submitted by Stacks Overflow on December 13, 2004

Review #16: A former staple of mine. American smokers in particular are advised that the Piedras are competent at best, and that there's no real reason to buy them when non-Cubans of superior quality are available for roughly the same price. Nonetheless, they are a real lifesaver for those living in countries where tobacco taxes are prohibitively high or the selection of non-Cubans is limited, offering a simple but plausible medium-bodied smoke for the low price. They are typically shipped out rather raw, and should even for purposes of casual smoking be given some humidor time to allow the ammonia to dissipate. - Submitted by Kopeck Freiherr Von Balk on December 8, 2004

Review #15: A very enjoyable smoke. If appreciate a nice tasting smoke with smome peppery hints then this is the cigar for you. Not over powering. Don't hesitate to grab a few while you can. Let it age and it gets even better. - Submitted by Scott Page on November 16, 2004

Review #14: I think that this is an incredible smoke considering the price. I purchased in Barcelona, and hope to be able to buy in London. - Submitted by Frank on October 18, 2004
