Review #58: It wasn’t my first des Dieux that I smoked this summer. However, the excitement doesn’t fade away no matter how many you smoke. The ones I smoked had five years on them and were of sound provenance. An ideal afternoon cigar for those fond of milder smokes, yet with very intense aroma and definitely present sophisticated bouquet. Comfortably smokes over an hour or just under an hour. This cigar often has somewhat uneven construction, which doesn’t, however, affect the experience (eight out of ten cases). When unlit, Le Hoyo des Dieux is particular for its intriguing scent of ripe heated figs. This aroma develops into powerful floral presence as you go through the first half of the cigar, added by very notable taste of unrefined cocoa beans. The second half of the cigar bursts with tropical fruit – distinctive notes of baked Caribbean banana, which is enhanced by clear and undisguised tobacco taste, the combination of which is extremely enjoyable. Mild in strength it doesn’t become stronger until the last inch, when some tones of mint appear. Smoked each to the nub until it starts burning the lips. A powerful, yet elegant summer afternoon smoke. - Submitted by DmitryLondon on August 25, 2011

Review #57: LAG-05/10. I can see why this cigar is the best of the Le Hoyo Series. A Smooth wrapper gave me some cedar, sweet, and honey flavors that kept me very interested till the end. I will try another soon, and will keep trying every 6 months. - Submitted by LOMNHERNANDEZ on August 1, 2011

Review #56: APR 08 Superbly manufactured. Good draw, although sometimes a bit too tight. Taste: sweet, honey, leather, vanilla, without any bitterness. The aroma is linear but increases up to the end. 9.3 - Submitted by cottierm on June 1, 2011

- Submitted by goethe66 on September 21, 2010

Review #54: MAR 03 Superb! Amazing woody complex flavours. Mild to medium body, some lovely sweetness. Great value. Probably the most under-rated cigar I know out there however they do need some 3-5 years age to get them really at their best. - Submitted by cjarman on May 11, 2010
