I have generally not been a fan of the ELs, but I picked up a half box of these in a trade and have been pleased with the four I have smoked to date. I find them mild, tasty, and sweet, with a unique cooking spice taste. The EL wrapper does not overwhelm the flavor of this cigar. Review #24: About time to revisit these. All the singles I smoked did not give me a consistent impression of this cigar. Nov03 ones smoked mid-2005 were pretty light and resembling the marca's DC. Swiss second release ones dated Jun03 bearing the new style Hoyo band (as seen on the EL2004) smoked mid-2007 were much better. Strong, austere and earthy, still a ligero kick and lots of bold, oily structure on the palate. Strangely reminding me of the Upmann Magnum 50 EL05, which had a very similar ligero dominance and texture at the time. - Submitted by Hercule Poirot on June 5, 2008
