Review #136: APR 07 Wow! Much, much better than the Magnum 50. The format, a Corona Gorda, allows a fully satisfying smoking session that won't take half a day of undisturbed enjoyment. Unlike recent specimens of the Magnum 50, it is not underfilled and the draw is perfectly calibrated. The delicate, discreetly oily, smooth and spotless light-brown wrapper covers an optimally bunched, high-grade blend. Cold draw gives away clear hints of joys to come. The initial puffs yield a typical cuban bouquet of spice, not overly unpleasant, that almost blots out all other flavours. But these rough edges quickly fade out, and the smoke becomes very balanced and complex. I still have a hard time naming the various aromas/flavours emanating from high-end vitolas, but I sure do know when I happen to smoke hot stuff... The Magnum 46, the 5 sticks I got from this 07 box at least, is quality through and through. There are no construction and/or burning issues and the tasting experience is well-above average. Any trace of tartness in this cigar is overcome by agreeable spiciness. Some chocolate does cling to your palate. A "strong yet sweet" cigar, which is what I am looking for in most premium Cubans. There is a welcome arrival of creamy strength for the finish that should please those preferring even more full-bodied smokes. Finger burnin' good! 9.5/10 - Submitted by Franz-Eric on December 20, 2008

Review #134: JUN 07 First smoke of new SLB box coded EPR JUN 07. Most people says it gains much with aging. My experience was perfect. No relit, No draw difficulty. Full flavour and smooth smoke till the end. Full points to first try. - Submitted by cgabay on October 11, 2008

Review #133: Hola. Take care with the new tubed version ones: I found some poorly underfilled ones with draw problems. Habanos made a smart work with tubes and new double bands for these cigars, however the quality do not accompany this presentation. Old cabinets are the best option. Hope they do not massacre this cigar production, as they made with many others. - Submitted by olisiponense on October 2, 2008
