When quote is completely misunderstood then Sigmund Freud was talking about this cigar when he said: “sometimes cigar is just a cigar.” Take any given Sunday in September when things are OK but not great and smoke one of these and you feel only slightly better about your life. It’s not the Coney Island Hot Dog of fast food but it beats average burger with a left hand and a blind fold. Immediately after I had finished this I felt cheated, even betrayed. After an hour I came to realize that I can blame only myself of which pile I stick my hands in to. If you are regular smoker you won’t be hugely disappointed after smoking one of these, but if this is you first adventure in to the world of cigars, you might lean on to the assumption Sigmund’s comment was trying to discredit. - Submitted by La Floridita on March 12, 2008

Score:83 Factory code: RTO Nov 06 Good draw and burn but then I always inspect the construction qualities of my cigars before buying them. This is a deceiving cigar for a cuban made. Some toffee undertone at the begining. You might like it if you never tasted a real good Havana. The Hoyo's and Montecristo minis have more taste and are less harsh than this. The Coronas Minor is a bit better than the Coronas juior but if you like Upmann I suggest Magnum 46 which is within another class! To reviewer 17, steveclark, I would recommend the petit coronas over the juniors without question. They are a far superior blend, age well and while construction is still not always brilliant it is more reliable than with these cigars. It is always best to hand pick your box from a reputable merchant to find a well rolled batch. If you can find the petit coronas with a few years of age on them they will be much better and I recommend you keep them loose in your humidor for at least 3-6 months before starting to smoke through them. If you're an Upmann man I would recommend the Upmann PC over the Montecristo PC also, so long as you can find a good box. I'd also definately recommend the Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robustos to you, which are almost always perfectly rolled and amazingly blended and smoke very well when relatively young. I find the Upmann coronas junior to be an inferior small guage cigar, often with a metalic taste and badly rolled. Any decent examples I have smoked with that great Upmann flavour (thin and rough around the edges with this cigar however) have only wetted my appetite for a larger, superior blend of Upmann such as a Magnum 46, Monarc or No.2. My neighbor gave me one of these a couple of weeks ago - the only one I've smoked. I was going to order a box of Upmann Petits but now I'm conflicted. Is anyone familiar with both enough to make a recommendation?
