Review #118: ---   Just writing to update my scoring for this cigar. I had one last night while watching a fantastic game of football (Arsenal v Barcelona). Is it uncouth behaviour to smoke a fine cigar while watching a yobbish sport? Perhaps, but I'd do it again so I would. I was simply blown away by this cigar, it was simply better than the other times I smoked it. I got 3 singles of the Siglo II so perhaps that explains the variance. This time the first third was mild with creamy tobacco flavour. The second third exploded into flavour, my mouth watered throughout. Very strong creamy flavour, topped only by a wonderfully earthy flavour. When I wasn't drawing on the cigar, I would simply smell it close up, admiring this earthy tone. Into the last third, the cigar had a very sweet smoke that I let flow over the tip of my tongue. Such a development of flavour was intense and I smoked the cigar right down to the nub which I wouldn't normally do. Very sorry that this cigar had to end. I got a good hour of fine smoke from this stick and had to light it a few times as the only thing of more quality than the cigar was the football, which distracted me. I'll give this 4 and a half stars to counter the 3 and half I gave it originally. A solid 4 for me. Would be a solid 4 and half but for the price unfortunately. - Submitted by homanahomana on April 1, 2010

Review #117: ---   Just smoked one now and found it enjoyable. I found the smoke to be smooth with a taste of tobacco, farmyard earthiness and charry flavour. Now and then a hint of spice developed. I smoked it for an hour and a half and it never went out. It doesn't devlop a huge ammount throughout I thought, but I did enjoy the middle third the most. An expensive cigar all things considered, I'm sure theres better out there in the same format for a better price. - Submitted by homanahomana on February 22, 2010

Review #116: MAR 08 Again Im left wondering what all the fuss is about with Cohibas. Best way to describe the three that Ive smoked thus far is uneventful. Nice draw, nice construction, flavour profile mainly grassy. A fairly mild cigar by cohiba standards. But for the money you could buy a diamond maduro or a cuaba salamones - for a little cheaper any of the vegas robaina cigars - all of which provide more depth in my opinion. In a word, an overpriced mareva. - Submitted by fuzzylogic on February 14, 2010

Review #115: OCT 08 Ahh… the smell that fills the room when you light up a Cohiba Siglo cigar. The Siglo II is no exception. The sweet notes, mixed with dark leather and earth, are nothing short of captivating. The Petit Corona Cohiba Siglo II is a very well constructed cigar; I’d say flawless and it represents the Cohiba brand to the fullest in all aspects.. You can expect a spotless and beautiful oily wrapper and a solid feel to the cigar overall. Also, it has pre-light aroma that is simply stunning. The pre-light scent I find unique to the Cohibas, and reminiscent of sweet butter and coffee. Yet, as soon as you hold this unlit cigar in your mouth, the slight peppery character of the Cuban tobacco begins to hint at its richness. Take a minute to hold it, test the draw, and begin a beautiful journey and enjoy all the Siglo II has to offer. The cigar lights up perfectly and produces beautiful firm white ash and smoke. The burn is even and cool enough to support all the flavors from the three times fermented tobacco. So…relax and muse away. The ash is solid; you can drop it and it won’t fall apart. The draw on this cigar is a not too firm nor too loose. No matter, once lit…the musky, dark, richness takes center stage for the next sixty (60), minutes. Billows of the thick white smoke are delivered right from the start with a burst of peppery sweetness. The overall flavor is creamy and smooth with a coffee-cocoa like flavor from the beginning to end with a sweet character added. Also, this cigar is extremely well balanced throughout by the increasing flavors of spice, leather, and earth. A faint cedar undertone at the start will build slightly in the last third, but will remain silky smooth and without a trace of harshness. The next thing that you'll notice as you smoke the Siglo II further, are the fragile hints of cedar and vanilla, that rise occasionally from behind the spicy body. When getting close to the end, the flavors grow stronger and give away a woody finish. You’ll feel compelled to smoke this cigar right down to the nub on account of its exceptional smoothness, and this magnificent cigar certainly merits it. In my opinion, I would consider the Cohiba Siglo II is a tribute to the Siglo line, a smoke that spells out finesse; an experience to be sought out by every cigar lover. - Submitted by jenkinschristopher on January 4, 2010

- Submitted by jorjis on November 29, 2009
