FEB 08 Smoked a couple of these over the past week, factory code MEL FEB 08. Very good, cool to start and builds in the last third. Tightly rolled, softens up gradually. Beautifully built, superb burn, takes a little under 2 hrs. Very highly recommended. - Submitted by Taqi on August 27, 2008

I've smoked five of these over the course of a year. The appearance (as noted above) was not what I would call attractive. However, once into each of these rough sticks, I was duly impressed. SEP 01 A staggeringly good cigar. In spite of a slightly ugly wrapper, the smoke was tremendous - very rich, beautifully smooth. It's not quite sweet, but fills the mouth with the sensation of molasses, a fantastic experience. - Submitted by Philski on May 31, 2008

Holly Cow what a block buster of a cigar no wonder this was a symbol of excellence of cigar for gifts to diplomats in Cuba loaded with coffee and smothness unlike any other cigar I have expierence Fidel himself was smoking this cigar the whole time when he was visting Angola.
