--- 04 My VR Familiares revealed bitter espresso, faint dark chocolate, with some light floral, light wood spice. But for a VR, this one disappointed. The flavors were good, but just too light to balance out its bitterness. I kept expecting it to burst out with some sweet roasted cocoa that seemed to be hiding in there, but in the end, its potential just never materialized, and I was left thinking regretfully that it was a ,quite frankly, forgettable smoke. Εμένα μου άρεσε. Με γλυκιά και κρεμώδη υφή, ξεδίπλωσε μεσαίας δύναμης ήπιες γεύσεις από δέρμα και κακάο με απαλές πινελιές από χόρτο και γη, αφήνοντας μια ελάχιστη πικρία στην επίγευση. (Τα πούρα που κάπνισα ήταν τρίχρονα, αλλά «σηκώνουν» περαιτέρω παλαίωση). Πρέπει να σημειώσω επίσης την καταπληκτική του καύση, (η στάχτη δεν «έλεγε» να πέσει), καθώς και το όμορφο άρωμα που άφησε στην ατμόσφαιρα, ακόμα κι όταν σταμάτησε να καίει. This was a disappointing cigar. I was waiting for it to develop into something more than it was, but it never happened. It was tight and most definitely smooth and creamy, but I didn't find it to be a medium to full bodied cigar. In fact, it was on the lighter shade of medium. The flavour was very similar to the Clasicos which I smoked right after. In fact, I could only dectect a slight sweetness to the Clasicos, which the Familiares had but not to the same degree. Not much spice. Little smoke. Aromatic in a herbal way. This is an average Cuban. Certainly not a classic like the Unicos or Don Alejandro. I prefer the Famosos even more too. I will smoke more after giving the others more age, but for now I will remember this as a disappointing cigar. - Submitted by cookj1 on May 12, 2008
