Saint Luis Rey Petit Coronas Review:
We are still waiting for a large size cigar from this brand to consider them as one of the "big ones", but in the meantime we can enjoy great cigars such as this Mareva. They have concentrated a lot of the qualities of their expert torcedores and tobacco leave selectors to present a good petit corona.

Review #9: The cigar is well done, burns very slowly but it is sort of too tight for my taste: not that the draw is bad, quite the opposite, but it seems the tobacco is too pressed. That forces me to take bigger and more frequent puffs, causing the taste to become sour at about half cigar. I've tried to slow down but I can't keep it lit. Maybe I just found the wrong box (I bought a carton box of 5 cigars). I will try this brand again, but this one just doesn't seem my cup of tea - Submitted by sasha on September 11, 2007
Review #8: Just finishing one right now, have to agree with previous reviewers in that it is slightly rustic in nature, but it does make me wish that it was a bit longer.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable cigar. - Submitted by stjohnroe on September 6, 2007
Review #7: Very well constructed mareva, with colorado maduro wrapper, full of oils. Lights easily, the burn is even and offers ample amounts of smoke. The taste is sweet, cinnamon, nutmeg, and that slight bit of fine leather from the second third. I really enjoyed this cigar a lot. It was not strong, rather, a complex and refined smoke that I really enjoyed. Oh yes, Ill buy a box right away. - Submitted by Dimitris in Athens - Greece on June 7, 2006
Review #6: Prior years (97-99) this was an outstanding cigar, worthy of any humidor. It looked great, smoked great and had a great aroma, packed with complex flavors and power. Albeit not in the league of a Bolivar PC power wise. Rich, earthy, spicy and some sweet flavors combine in a complex little PC that packs a bit of a punch. There are definite nutmeg flavors and some cinnamon. However, my last box (Mar 03) was very dissappointing. Dark colorado wrapper, very rustic looking with poor burning qualities and harsh. Nothing like prior years with more earthiness than nutmeg and twang. Overall rating based on recent experience.

Review #5: mine are from a cab of 50 dated late 03. the handful i've had have all been excellent in construction, burn, and i can't wait until they get a little more age. they will be wonderful. i'm just sorry that i've dismissed anything from SLR based on 1 bad smoke i had in europe a few years back. if you're looking for strength, this is NOT what you want, but they are full of great flavors. - Submitted by IHT on December 9, 2004
