Romeo y Julieta Prince of Wales Review:
This is a smooth and discrete cigar which was discontinued in the year 2002. If we take Churchills as an example, we would have to say that Prince of Wales has nothing to do with it, being milder, with cedar and floral flavours perfectly balanced, in contrast to those coffee and cocoa taste of the Churchills.

Review #16: This was an excellent cigar. It was mild-medium with excellent balance. The kind of balance that only a well aged cigar would have. I enjoyed this for well over an hour. I found this very smooth. Excellent burn and construction. Excellent draw. Great aroma and flavours. It seems that there are still a few out there judging by the recent reviews. I would definitely purchase this cigar again. Interesting name for a Cuban cigar. - Submitted by cookj1 on June 24, 2008
Review #15: Hey cjarman, the H&F summer cigar party must have been a great occasion to get these. However, I got mine in the shop of a major German vendor who still had them in their aged selection until last year. - Submitted by Hercule Poirot on June 20, 2008
Review #14: --- 98 I wonder if Hercule Poirot got his 1998 from the same place as me, the Hunters and Frankau Summer Cigar party where this was one of the 3 free cigars we received last week. I saved mine until a few days ago and lit it up in my office. I was surprised how rustic and woody it was, I was expecting more smoothness like the R y J Short Churchills I have been usually having in the evening recently. Anyway, a good smoke but not a great one in my opinion. I was expecting something more for the "10 years" of maturity. - Submitted by cjarman on June 19, 2008
Review #13: A very good, classic Churchill indeed. The last ones have been '98s, and smoked just perfect. "Old-style" Romeo dried herbs and roasty characters, dry (opposed to the sweetness of the stronger Churchill) and medium creamy, with remaining potential without doubt. Another classic cigar, what a shame it's gone. - Submitted by Hercule Poirot on June 18, 2008
Review #12: What a mistake R&J made discontinuing this cigar. With all the cigars they make why this one?I was luckey to get 10 from a friend in Canada in the mid 90's and I can still remember the sight of those beautiful tan wrappers.Yes this cigar was lighter than the Churchill but just as complex with more fruity flavors. It's the oldest cigar I have in my collection and sadly I only have one left but it's been a real pleasure to watch and enjoy a great cigar as it ages. Now it's a dark greenish gray and has that stilton cheese smell that comes with age.Perfect draw and rolled tight as a brick, the last one I smoked I wanted to chew on the end it was that great, and I don't chew on cigars.I wish I'd known about this cigar before and I started smoking in 1969.I guess that's what happens when you can't walk into the cigar store I have to pick up the phone. All of you that have this cigar in your collection know how luckey you are! - Submitted by Richard Rose on May 19, 2008
