Review #6: I'll preface this by saying I've not yet enjoyed a 2001, but the 2006 is arguably the best cigar I've yet had. I'm not sure what reviewer 3 was smoking, because the ones I've had have been complex, peppery, leathery, and just slightly creamy. In other words, it's a Partagas. The best analogy I could use is that smoking one of these is like having an orchestra playing in one's mouth. I've already set some aside, because I've no doubt they'll be classics in a few years. - Submitted by Gran Corona on December 12, 2006
Review #5: Srangely enough, despite being a limited edition cigar, it is bland, not too complex and a poor imitation of the 2001. Granted, the Partagas flavor is there from the first puff, but this is not enough to justify the "limitada" and the "price". - Submitted by Dimitris in Athens - Greece on December 12, 2006
Review #4: I still have few of the Serie D No. 3 ,LE 2001. Of course the first thing I've done is to compare it to the new L.E 2006 release. I think that the new ones, granted its young age is as every bit, flavorful, smooth ,complex and have the same great potential to become a great smoke as its 2001 predecessor. I bought 3 more boxes. - Submitted by Essam on December 9, 2006
Review #3: I recently purchased a box of these remakes and was not at all impressed with their flavors. When the original SD3's came out I liked them so much I bought three boxes. Two of the three are still resting happily in my humidor and are even more valuable to me after smoking these new imposters. When the originals came out they were excellent with a powerful blend of cocoa, pepper, leather, cream and a hint of sweetness. The new ones on the other hand were rather one dimensional and even in their youth show none of the potential that the originals showed. I will bury this box deep in the humidor and hope that they improve with a few years of age. They reminded me more of a Quintero than the real(2001) SD3's! - Submitted by Monkeyboy on November 23, 2006
Review #2: bought a box of them in cuba last week and tried a single that was on display, bang, very good from the get go and continues all the way through, i can't how could this will be with some age behind it. look out - Submitted by MR_MINIWHEAT on November 22, 2006
