Smoked another stick from a box relased during the launch of this Limited Edicion gem. The additional time sitting in my cigar locker has transformed this smoke into a finger burner. Upon opening the box the bouquet is rich. Flavors are powerful, balanced and rich. So rich it reminds one of "Old School" Partagas flavors. One of my favorite. Get them now while they're still around as they will age wonderfully. All Limited Edicion cigars from Partags have been outstanding! - Submitted by Rogndd on March 28, 2004

This amazing limited edition is very similar to the No. 3. This super robusto is full-bodied and is full of character. Intense flavours of spice and leather. I may be late to this Limited Edition. I picked up some in early 2004. But damn, this is about as good as it gets. My No. 2's taste like the powerhouses that you read about in magazines. I would compare it to the Bolivar Royal Corona and the Cohiba Robusto. Strong peppery cigars with a remarkably rich flavor of sweet spice, leather and a long finish of corriander and cardomum. No kidding. It's well constructed, hard rosado wrapper & burns easy with big mouthfulls of smoke. It's the sort of cigar you almost need to smoke outside because it burns and delivers instense aromatic smoke from start to finish. - Submitted by oceans11 on February 16, 2004

Review #8:

I was told by a LCDH worker that a fellow LCDH worker from another city (I will not say which city) found a hand-written spanish note inside one of the D2 boxes saying "made from tobacco in the back (remaining/leftover tobacco)" (something to that effect): the Cuban workers/QA forgot to take out the note. Take it for what it is worth, but basically it seems like the tobacco used was not of high quality as was before. Still a very good cigar. - Submitted by Ju1c3r on February 9, 2004

Smoked a new one and agree with Ju1c3r when he says that the last D2 seem lighter than the first ones we smoked in 2003. I do not know if it is actually due to an increase in the production. However it remains an excellent cigar. Its brother, the D No 3 is nonetheless a bit higher - Submitted by Epicurien on January 30, 2004
