Review #18: it is VERY mild, but it has that 'sweet' taste which distinguishes the whole brand so while light, it isn't tasteless by any means. As others have said it's great for mornings - or just for those occasions when you fancy something light. It isn't going to win any fights with a Bolivar or Monte, but it's a fair fight against a Fonseca ;-) - Submitted by jrtbloke on December 19, 2006

Review #17: I am essentially smoking this cigar currently by way of a recently purchased box of Coronation Tubos, box dated about a year ago. THEY ARE TERRIFIC! I have always thought the Coronation was a close second to the Monte 4 among marevas, and the draw on the half-dozen I've smoked from this batch has been superb. A solid 8, and I would probably even say a 9 if I had a nice Coronation buzz going at the time. - Submitted by carld on August 24, 2006

Review #16: Many people seem to dislike the Short Hoyo Corona (even the venerable Min Ron Nee), but I am of the opinion that it can make for a very nice morning cigar. Yes, it is very mild, but if you give it some attention, it will reward you with some very pleasant flavors of nutty, toasted tobacco, sweet wood, with some subtle spicy hints of nutmeg and pepper and just a drop of honeysuckle. Best enjoyed early in the morning with a nice cup of coffee. - Submitted by Black Plague on August 1, 2006

Review #15: Hoyo coronas are one of my fave smokes - i don't really understand why this short format is so dissapointing. There is an underlined bitterness which taints the whole cigar,it doesn't burn well, and none of the characteristic hoyo flavours seem to be here. Yes there is a pleasant spicy note, but the bitterness creeps in and spoils the party. Montyman is bang on the money, Bolly marevas are a much better punt so save your wedge and buy them instead. - Submitted by the hanwell cigar dude on March 24, 2006
