Review #13: Hoyo coronas are one of my fave smokes - i don't really understand why this short format is so dissapointing. There is an underlined bitterness which taints the whole cigar,it doesn't burn well, and none of the characteristic hoyo flavours seem to be here. Yes there is a pleasant spicy note, but the bitterness creeps in and spoils the party. Montyman is bang on the money, Bolly marevas are a much better punt so save your wedge and buy them instead. - Submitted by the hanwell cigar dude on March 24, 2006

Review #12: smoked another one today - same thing - Submitted by robinottawa on May 24, 2005

Review #11: Solid little cigar with decent spice and some nuts. A bit harsh for having been sitting in my 'dor for a couple of years, but not a bad little smoke - Submitted by Rob in Ottawa on March 5, 2005

Review #10: My 2 cents on the Hoyo Short Coronas (reviewed by each "third" of the cigar) - 1/3: mellow with strong sweet taste. 2/3: continues with strong sweet taste but adds a hint of light spice. 3/3: continues to be mellow with sweetness reducing by the puff...light hints of spice still present. Comments: sweetness can sometimes be overpowering/sickly. A decent smoke but not fantastic. - Submitted by Deen on October 12, 2004

Review #9: I have smoked these sporadically but only on occasions in which I forgot about the previous unpleasant experiences. All of them I smoked were bitter and flavorless with glaring burn irregularities. Well maybe some day I'll come across a good one... - Submitted by tang on October 8, 2004
